Xia stood in the carriage of the Sky Train.
The Sky Train zipped through the city, traversing slender channels that seemed to probe out from the midsections of the towering buildings on either side, curving gracefully through the air and swiftly transporting people to all parts of Sky Island.
It reminded Xia of arteries.
The cars that slowly made their way on the ground, waiting for traffic lights, and the even slower-moving pedestrians, seemed like the capillaries of this gigantic city.
What about those flying Floating Cars, then?
The corporate executives, the Execution Department, journalists, and celebrities who had made a name for themselves.
And some merchants whose businesses weren't exactly by the book, hence not part of the companies but equally wealthy.
