Hundred Peaks Sect, when selecting disciples from the Hundred Peaks, didn't just start considering candidates when the time came. Each peak had already decided on their targets beforehand.
Especially many of the lower-ranked peaks, their initial targets were not those geniuses since the likelihood of those geniuses joining their peaks was far too low.
However, that didn't mean they wouldn't pursue those geniuses.
Each year, there were always one or two geniuses who would join some of the lower-ranked peaks. After all, everyone is human, and each person has their own thoughts.
Some believed that no matter what, they had to go to the strongest peak! They were the most talented, and other peaks were not worthy of them.
Others chose the peak that was most suitable for themselves.
