Cao Zhen couldn't figure it out. The cave seemed completely unremarkable, yet when they took refuge inside, all the skeletons and resentful spirits stopped in their tracks.
Inside the cave, the other three were also puzzled.
"We don't know either."
"We've been in this cave for a while now. Those resentful spirits and skeletons just linger outside the cave, they have never tried to come in."
Upon hearing the questions, the three of them immediately started to respond, their hearts filling with worry at the same time; what they feared most now was the newcomers attacking them or driving them out.
Cao Zhen looked at the few people, unable to glean much from their answers, then let his gaze fall around the cave.
But no matter how he looked, the cave appeared to be just an ordinary cave, showing nothing unusual. He simply could not understand why the skeletons and resentful spirits wouldn't enter it.
