Some groups consisted of a few people with one child, others a few adults with several children.
And these children, some appeared to be about the same age as Little Beiyan, while others looked as young as three or four, and there were even infants in arms.
Little Beiyan was looking around when a carriage rolled up beside him. Atop the carriage sat an elder with a face full of wrinkles, appearing very old, but dressed in spotless clothing. He watched Little Beiyan with a smile and asked, "Child, are you like them, going to Jijiang City to participate in the Hundred Peaks Sect's disciple selection?"
"How come you're alone? Where's your family?"
