In this Webnovel, there are what we used to call multiple Timelines since this Universe always experiences a Timeline Reboot called the [Universal Reboot] by the Diviners, a powerful race that humanity worshipped as gods.

This Reboot will be triggered on the Earth Year of 2033 a year the Diviners marked to do the Reboot for unknown Divine reasons.

Because of this Reboot, the timeline of the universe is restored back to the Age of the Holy Wars, the age where the DIviners are first activating the Reboot's Device.

For the Diviners, the Reboot resets everything back to the Age of the Holy War like a restart function where the Universe will return back as it were in that age as the timeline also starts over again.

Since the Diviners are the owner of the Reboot Device, for many timelines, they monopolize the Universe with their Divine Will as they used their knowledge of the previous timelines, to improve their rule while other beings have to forget everything about it.

For many timelines, the reboot had successfully made other beings unaware of the Diviners' eternal rule but even though their plan was perfect, there are some other beings that are able to have their precious memories from the previous timelines.

These beings are the Diviners will call "Awakeners", beings outside the Diviner Race that are able to have any memories from the Previous Timeline, beings that must be silenced quickly before they spill the Diviners' deeds back in the Previous Timelines.

That is why in the recent Timelines, the Diviners had tried many ways to reduce the rise of the "Awakeners" in any Timeline as possible by banning the pivotal elements that are known to rise the "Awakeners".

The elements of things that the Diviners try to ban in order to reduce the rise of the "Awakeners" are:

- Magic

This element is the very reason why the Diviners enact the Gift Power System to humans, making the *Magic Item Extraction and Conversion Policy, and creating the Divine Inquisitors.

The primary reason for this element's very ban is because the Diviners, back in the Holy War, had many battles against the Manahumans or we know them as Sorcerers, humans that are able to absorb the Mana from nature, the remains power source of the Titans that once had been extinct thanks to the Diviners rebellion against them.

These Manahumans, thanks to the power of Mana had the ability to perform powerful and mischievous feats which made them almost powerful as the Deviant Race, the Diviner Race's arch nemesis for they are the Diviners' main enemy in the Holy War.

Back then, in the Holy War ensued, the Manahumans and the Deviants were allies to combat the Diviners' army as they all almost lay waste to them if it not for the High Born Diviners' effort to wipe out most of them and cleanse many Manahumans and Deviants at that time.

After their victory, the Diviners then see the potential danger of humans having the power of Mana and they decide to find a way to make the humans unable to absorb them again by enacting the use of the [Gift Core].

By promoting the [Gift Core] to humans and the potential of powerful wonders that it gives to them, the Diviners had successfully driven humans away from using magic as they planted it on their bodies which immediately fills the humans with their Divine Energy.

With the Gift Core planted, it will do its secret function to eliminate any kinds of outside energy to enter the human body, disabling them from absorbing power sources like Mana, Ki, Aura, Force, and many more as the Gift Core immediately neutralized it from entering the human's body, making the humans can only depend on their Divine power entirely from now on and thus preventing more possible Awakaners that has been analyzed to often rise from the Manahumans for unknown reasons the Diviners try to reduce in the first place by banning the use of Magic.

- Science and Technology

In this case, the Diviners actually don't fully ban the development and use of it. But rather the Diviner just excessively monitors and controls the development of those two subjects for these two subjects are categorized as the same package by the Diviners which they deem to hold almost the same threat as magic.

Many times, many people who had just had different ways to understand the world try to do many things in order to gain more knowledge. But despite their good efforts, numerous pieces of knowledge and technological developments the humans tried to gain often separates them from the rules that had been enacted by the Diviners which is something the Diviners will never accept even in the slightest, thus they will often order the Inquisitors to capture the people who've gone too far or the Diviners themselves will immediately come themselves to deal with these things.

There is another effective way to make sure humans won't learn, develop, and experiment too far, and that effective way is to make those too far things that the humans made be labeled as Magic or Blasphemy or whatever label whatsoever that will make other faithful humans exile the humans that had done so from the society, thus making them had the control over the development of human science and technology.

- People that abandoned their Divine Duty

This label can be flexible since this label depends on how much the mortal had turned back to their Divine beliefs.

1) Retirement:

If the mortal abandoned their duty due to age like having a retirement for marriage, childbirth, accident, old age or those things whatsoever, the Diviners won't make them threats or account them as possible humans that had become "Awakeners" for they know well that the humans who work for them will retire someday even though this depends on the Diviner's responsible for the mortal's decision for each diviner (gods) had a different set of rules and punishments.

2) Splinter Factions:

This label is for humans who had different kinds of beliefs to serve the Diviners like the Hunter Association Leader, Hayden Wayne who retired from the Divine Inquisitors and decided to make the Hunter Association where the Gift Users can hunt the monsters and gather the Dungeon's treasures for capitalism purposes.

Even though the creation of the Hunters made the Inquisitors weary of the possible heresy, the Diviners still allow it if some of the Divine Inquisitors be stationed there and inspect everything that happened in the association without question, including the inspection of the Association's monetary state.

3) Heretics or Traitors

These kinds of people are those who had fully abandoned their Divine Beliefs and decided to study or do things outside the Divine Beliefs like using Magic, experimenting with forbidden knowledge and technology such as alchemy or even making deals with the Deviants.

For the Diviners, these people must be purged completely for they hold too much potential to become an Awakener, a term the Diviners even try to make people forget for knowing about, that term can even make the Diviner brand anyone who knows as a traitor on par to the Heretics.

*Magic Item Extraction and Conversion Policy:

The policy is to give any gathered items from the Dungeon to the Inquisitor in order to purify the remaining mana or any other energies from it and embedded them with Divine Energy thus making it to be called the Item Purification Process.
