Chapter 83 - Tala Zavaeria - Watching

"THE FUCK IS THE IMMORTAL BLOOD SECT DOING?!" Yelled Leonel as we all watched the events of what has been going on in the academy every since the announcement in real time on these holographic images.

The Immortal Blood Sect was running wild, running in squads as they killed everyone they saw. It didn't matter who they were, whoever had the misfortune of running into these groups by themselves was mercilessly executed. This had been taking place throughout the entire academy and it wasn't until they reached their first target that we realized why they were moving in squads.

"So they are targeting the Seven Blessed from Heaven huh?" Kordri asked with an amused and interested expression on his face. A solemn expression showed on my face as I looked at the holographic image shown on the futuristic conference table.

While I knew about the Seven Blessed from Heaven, in fact, I was one of the people who knew who they all actually were before they revealed themselves to the general population of the academy I couldn't care less. They seemed to be overhyped and looked like that Talia would outshine them all. But as I looked at more recordings of the seven in action as they went against the execution squads it seemed like I looked down on them too much.

The ones who impressed me the most other than Talia were Kellian and Yennifer. I knew a lot about the first-class genius of the Lunar Dragon clan but I couldn't say the same about the genius of the Shadow Hydra clan. Shadow Hydras were naturally mysterious and the most hidden race in Genesis, they were the best assassins money could buy unless you found a Black Dragon that would actually give you a good price. I swear that race is full of greedy bastards.

All I knew of Kellian was that he was the son of Kordri's top general. But as I saw him battle I couldn't help be but impressesed and a little fearful. They way he moves his spear was like the most devious of serpents, every time he swung his spear blood flowed and heads were flying. It didn't help that he would use the Dao of Shadows to pick them off one by one even when the squads knew what he was doing, but they couldn't stop him. It was clear he was doing it on purpose as he smiled as he looked and hear the howls and pleas of despair every time he killed a member of the sect.

"Seems like the rumors were true huh?" Irani asked as she turned her head and sent her gaze at Treysin who was sitting quietly as he observed the live footage of the battles.

Treysin was the most mysterious person in the room for me. I knew about him but not enough to know how I could defeat him if we ever became enemies. The Kenji family is feared for its powerhouses but no one has ever seen the full depth of their strength all we have ever seen was Treysin, Everen, and Kirean. This was also one of the reasons why I sent Talia to Essentia Academy, it was to get information on the family's secrets and see if we could use them to our advantage to gain some benefits.

But as time went on I realized that it was easier said than done. Treysin like most of his family was adept at schemes, I heard stories of him playing a Prince of Hell like a fool and even almost critically wounded him with a trap but unfortunately he escaped. I feel like Treysin was born in the wrong realm. Were he born in the Nines he would for sure be a King. But Hakari was a completely different monster entirely.

I knew it was him who orchestrated the crippling of Zantar. Rastia and the Yamato sisters knew it as well but it seems that we all have our own reasons for hiding it. Rastia I could guess and the Yamato sistes probably didn't say anything becuase they don't want to face retaliation from the Kenji family but me I had my own reasons. I could still remember catching a glimpse of his face before he dissapeared, it was the first time I had seen him in person and to be honest he exceeded expectations. His looks defied common sense and he is very perceptive, I know that he knows that we saw him there and is most likely making failsafes just incase he gets exposed.

I smiled and chuckled to myself. I have to admit that so far I am very impressed with the Asuran Prince. I'm usually not bothered with men unless they gain my intrest and that enough is almost impossible. The only reason why the Dark Pheonix clan has only an empress and no empror is becuase I killed Talia's father. I kidnapped him and used him until I became pregnant. As soon as I found out I killed him, I didn't feel anything when I did it though. He outlived his usefulness and I only picked him becuase he was the strongest man in the clan at the time, he was the first class genius.

"They are, but we all knew that they were anyway didn't we? Especially you two," Treysin remarked with a nonchlant grin on his face as he gazed at Irani with his piercing silver eyes.

"What do you mean Treysin?" Mizuki asked with a mischievous smile on her face.

Treysin shrugged his shouders and replied, "Nevermind it's not improtant as of right now anyway." Treysin suddenly then turned his attention to the screen in the middle of the room and smiled, "Well then, looks like my nephew is about to meet the squad that is targeting him anytime now."

I looked at the screen Treysin was looking at and saw the squad that was led to kill Hakari. It was led by Talen Zel Laurius, son of the Sect Master of the Immortal Blood Sect and Tanya's elder brother. While he is not as talented as his sister, he is not to be looked down on by any means. Talen and his team immediatley started battling the floor where Hakari resided on, we all though it would go like how it usually went with these squads and that they would easily sluaghter the entire floor until there main target was the only one that remained but it turns out this time that we were wrong in every possible way.

Not only was the floor packed, it was filled with people who were not to be looked down upon as well. In fact, about thirty percent of that floor was full of people who were at the peak of Nascent Soul all the way to the late stages of Heavenly Transformation. The entire floor descended into chaos, the people on that floor were blindly attacking each other without any regard or empathy for who it was. Friends killed Friends, Lovers betrayed Lovers, Siblings killed Siblings, no one was exempt or spared from the carnage. Talen's squad immeatatley fell into disarray as soon as the battle royal on that floor began, the members began falling one by one until two people from that group were left, Talen and his lover Mia.

Things were going well for them until a scarlet-black flash appeared seemingly out of nowhere and before any of us realized what happened Mia's torso was cut cleanly in half and her inards littered the ground. We heard Talen's howl as he stared hatefully at Hakari, he stood there calmy with a black katana in his hand that had red runes glowing dimly that I couldn't understand. I watched intenly at Hakari to make sure that I would catch even the simplest of movements, I had to be honest if it wasn't for my experience as an empress I would have probably gotten entranced by his looks. His glowing dark skin with obsidian hair and slit scarlet eyes were the ultimate turn on for me but I had to maintain my dignity as an empress or else I probaly would've lost it.

Now I see why Rastia is interested. How can a person look like this and be so mysterious? I really want to see what is behind that mask.

I shook my head, ridding myself from those thoughts, there would be time for that later for now I need to observe and study this upcoming battle. it is rare to see the Asuran Prince in general let alone seeing him in battle, this is the best time to get combat data on him and all the other sponsors had the same idea as I as they also watched intentley at the screen where Hakari and Talen were about to battle.

Talen used an arte that he was known for and bursted twords Hakari at a speed so fast most would call it teleportation. Of course in the eyes of beings like us his speed was worse than the sin of sloth itself but we were able to grasp every detail because of it. Right when Talen was about to slash his scimitar at Hakari's neck he suddenly stopped. But it was only him everything else that was going on around them was completly normal but Talen was the only frozen, as if the laws of space and time focused on him and him alone.

A chill ran down my spine as a thought came into my mind but I refused to belive it, but as I looked around the room and saw the same shocked faces of the sponsors I knew my eyes were not playing tricks on me.

This kid...he's a monster.
