"Huh?" Hakari asked in shock
"Yeah, I need you to help me kill Zantar. That bastard has gone too far, he's crossed the line this time." Duan Ru Feng said with a clenched fist
Hakari sighed and said, "What could he have possibly done to make you mad to the point where you've come to me to help you kill him. Sure Zantar is an annoying, lustful, arrogant bastard who has signed his death warrant multiple times, but if there is one thing I can give him credit for it's that he is self-aware."
I nodded my head in complete agreement. Zantar was different from other arrogant geniuses, he knew who to piss off and who to stay away from. It's one of the main reasons why nothing has really happened to him, people who think it is because of his background are nothing more than ignorant fools. The emperor is not the strongest person in the Federation, that is a well-kept secret and as for who it really is, that is unknown. Still, my parents have said that it is either the empress, the principal, or someone in Hakari's family, there are really a bunch of theories and guesses on that.
While the royals might be at the top, there are some families who are at the summit just like them or a little stronger, these would be the superfamilies like my family and Hakari's family, the only difference is that no one in the Federation knows that my family is a superfamily and believe that we are a high-tier one, the only ones who know are the Kenji, Valerian, Yamato, and two other families that I don't know of. If they wanted to, any of these families could have Zantar killed with just a finger snap and the emperor wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Still, they don't see Zantar as worth anything, and while that is probably because they don't know that he is the emperor's bastard I honestly have no idea if anything would change even if they knew.
"I know you have been hiding your true strength from everyone Ru Feng but even with all of that people still don't doubt you in any way, even the rest of the seven and the royals acknowledge you and see you as an equal, so why would Zantar still try you?" I asked as although I didn't have the full details of this whole scheme, in fact, I'm pretty sure that I don't even know half of what is going on, I knew that it was only that way so Hakari could make this sell better.
"I have a guess and if that is the case that it would make a lot of sense," Hakari said with a dark smile on his face that sent shivers down my spine as he looked straight back at Ru Feng.
"Who?" He asked.
"Well, that depends on what even happened for you to even need my help, and even if it doesn't have anything to do with the person I would still likely blame it on the person since I don't like them at all and just wish to see them fall," Hakari said honestly
The Black Dragon gritted his teeth and said, "Zantar defiled and killed Shiana. Then the piece of shit recorded the whole thing and sent it to me with a note saying 'she was exquisite.'"
I sat there shocked and scared shitless, not because of Zantar's idiocy, in fact, it wasn't even because of Zantar at all as I knew he was not stupid enough to do something like that. I was shocked and since I knew that Hakari had planned and probably sent some random to disguise themselves as Zantar and do that deed and scared since while Duan Ru Feng didn't know, others knew that Zantar has his eyes on Shania, just like how only a select few knew that the crown prince had his eyes on Duan Ru Feng's fiance.
Shania was a water nymph and just like most of them, they were used as high-class whores and then were married off to the unsuspecting young masters and mid-tier and weak high-tier families and clans. Duke Destria's son is the perfect example of this, the only difference is that Zantar actually did that and it wasn't forced. Bailing Xin was his personal fuck sleeve before during and after the engagement and incident, she still is to this day as she is in the academy. The fact that Hakari used that incident as a reference and did it again here on the concrete pretext that Zantar has always wanted a taste of Shania only shows his foresight perception and attunement in the art of schemes, I honestly pray for his enemies.
"What makes you so sure--" Before Hakari could even finish, Duan Ru Feng slammed his holocube on the table and played the video that even for me was too hard to watch. I was evil, in fact, I would even say I'm more evil than Hakari but seeing the lifeless look on Shania's face and hearing her screams of mercy and cries for help and the eventual end of her blowing her own head off not being able to take it anymore, shook my cold heart a tiny bit, but that was it nothing more and nothing less.
After the video cut off I looked at Hakari who was looking at Ru Feng with a gaze of pity, but behind that look, all I saw was endless amusement, bro was laughing his ass off inside no doubt. Not at Shiana, but probably at the deep shit that Zantar was now in.
"Well, looks like we found ourselves some common interest. I'll help you but on one condition and the reason I say this is for the well-being of the three of us." Hakari said as he leaned back on his couch with a cold glare from his gleaming scarlet eyes.
"What is it?" Duan Ru Feng asked.
"You can cripple Zantar, but don't kill him."
"ARE YOU FUCKING OFF PERCS?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Duan Ru Feng howled as his aura flared, revealing his cultivation base along with it and I was shocked to see it was at the peak of the eighth stage of Core Formation.
How the fuck is he at that level?! Even the rest of the seven are at the early stages...this is impossible.
Hakari and I were unbothered by it as he shot me a glance, knowing that it was my turn to drive this scheme home I smirked and did my bro a favor as I waved my hand and the aura disappeared as if it never existed.
I straightened my back as I gave a slight smirk and closes my eyes as I said nonchalantly but with such grace that would make one thing that I was from the royals of my clan, "Ru Feng, think this through. We are on academy grounds and the place is as tense as it could be, do you really think killing someone is the best thing to do and that someone to be Zantar of all people? Besides isn't crippling of cultivation of someone like him worse than death?"
