I got to the point where it was so much that I and Evren were out of our chairs laughing our asses off, it was just too funny. A lot of other things were said as well but I was far too bust laughing to bother paying attention, good thing Everen was able to take my place and keep track of all the things said. Sometime later things calmed down...I wish I could say the same about the killing intent though, that was still floating in the air as these people couldn't wait to get their hands on each other.
I calmed myself down and finally stood up and sat back in my chair. It seems the auction was right, everyone was bound to make enemies out of everyone but I am sure they didn't think that it would be from secrets being revealed instead of the items they were selling off. Time flew by as more and more items were being sold off and I couldn't even believe where they were getting these items from as most of these treasures could turn wastes into geniuses and a group of ragtag trash into a peak seven-star force.
"Alright for this next item I'm sure you guys will be down to kill each other for it. Of course, you will have to do that outside as fighting is strictly prohibited in the auction so I hope you all can contain yourself." Lia said with the same smile that never left her face, even during that entire fiasco when they were all exposing each other.
She wasted no time and removed the cloth and revealed a black shard but when I laid my eyes on it my heart almost stopped beating and I almost fell out of my seat.
"Hakari, what is that?" Everen asked not concerned for my safety as he knew nothing here could harm me and knew that based on my reaction I was going to pay out the ass for that shard.
"I don't know what it is but all I know is that I need it. I felt my comprehension of space and time almost reach the peak of the second layer and I even gained insights into the Dao of Destruction." I said as Everen went into shock and I didn't blame him one bit as even I couldn't believe what I just said.
That shard contained the purest spiral, quantum, and destructive essence I've ever seen and felt. This was something I was looking for one hundred percent, I needed this treasure no matter what. If I gained this shard I would reach the Realm of Dao in time and space and reach the peak of the third layer in destruction. But the fact I know it contains time, space and destruction mean that Lia knows it as well so when she reveals it the bidders will lose their shit. While I did have the money to outbid most of them the enemies I would make would not be light either, I'm sure some would pull some strings to try to make moves on me at the academy. With things looking like so the smart thing would be to give up on this item, but I do have an advantage in this situation, my strength was still unknown.
As we speak the tournament to become the empresses disciple would draw the attention of all first years in the academy, the Seven Blessed from Heaven were not exempted and I'm sure at least one of the mysterious four would be willing to expose themselves, to say nothing of the other six. Lia said in a professional and excited tone in a successful attempt to bring the mood back in the auction.
The curtain was lifted and my eyes were glued onto the blade that I could've sworn had called my name. It was a katana alright, a beautiful one at that. The hilt was black and long, allowing one to hold it with one or two hands, the blade was long as well and had a slight curve to it like all other katanas. But what drew my attention and made my blood and soul shiver were the runes that were on both sides of the blade...they were abyssal runes.
