Ramses,
The pharaoh looked outside his balcony, watching the sun disappear on the horizon.
He stared at the last ray as it faded into nothing and the sky began to darken without the moon.
This scene matched how his life felt at the moment. This sun was his Akila and her light had left him to drown in darkness.
When he returned, he wanted to run to where she was and embrace her.
He wanted to feel her soft body against his; he wanted to smell her enticing scent. He wanted to consume her.
But he couldn't, even though his heart was aching and his soul longed for her.
He knew about her assassination attempt and wanted to burn the entire palace to ashes.
He wanted to drag his sister to the market. And make her an example for whoever thought of hurting his woman.
But yet again, he couldn't. He was weak and his court was against him.
