"Consort of Seth, the great Ra had summoned you to be the god of the desert witness'. You must answer his call."
Akila didn't utter a single word as she looked down at the kneeling god.
Their audience, on the other hand, was looking shocked, confused, and fearful.
And the young queen understood why. It wasn't an everyday occurrence to be in the presence of a god.
And that god won't be kneeling at a mere mortal's feet as the mighty Anubis was doing now.
Even Akila was confused by what he was doing and felt uncomfortable as she watched him keep his position.
"My lord, why are kneeling at mere mortal feet?"
Akila asked the god as she stood up, then tried to kneel as well, but Anubis shook his head, stopping her.
"You are the consort of Seth, mistress. Your position is higher than me and I must kneel before you. Please don't humiliate me by bowing as well."
