Chapter 1 - Catch Her!

The Cullen Kingdom…

At the Human Kingdom's boundary.

Dark tree trunks, shadows, hanging branches across the path seen at every second, masses of bushes, barely visible black trails snaking through the undergrowth.

The moon shone through an outline of the leaves, marking the path for a slender shadow.

We see intermittent sky and stars in glimpses through tree breaks, tall shadowed pines stretching up like arrows into the sky, and stripes of cloud against the dark sky.

For every part of the woods, the wind slipping through the leaves, the cracking undergrowth with each step one takes, creaking tree trunks, the fluster of wings unseen.

The cracking branches, grass, and weed sliding against pant legs, harder breathing sounds.

The night animals, making a way in the deep in the woods, some owl sounds, fox yelping. Wolves howling in the distance, stuffing feet along the path, sometimes a grunt of pain at catching a root or tripping and falling.

The rich earth, rotting leaves, pine needles, fresh air, a slight scent of flowers, earthy fungus, tree sap, wild animal stench, and green and brown growing things.

In the heavy night, under the moonlight that was shining with its own majesty, a silhouette covered in a white fluffy cloak was running faster.

Her back was small, her body covered by the white long cloak, the only thing that could be seen is her platinum blonde luscious curls falling effortlessly from her head, and her sky-blue princess dress.

The forest is not a place for a small lady like her.

However, the lady is running, and behind her, several shadows are chasing her, they are not as fast as her, but neither of them were slower.

As the lady makes her way along the narrow trail, her pursuers are trying to catch up with her.

Even though she is moving faster, it did not run a drop of sweat from her forehead, her breath is normal like she was just walking.

Her clean and beautiful blue dress under the white long fluffy cloak is shining in the moonlight.

With no rips, nor wrinkles, the heavy dress is not hindering her speed. Not even sweat on her lips, dryness in her throat or a cold metallic aftertaste of stone is in her mouth. For her, it's like a walk in the Imperial Garden.

Her long and beautiful platinum blonde luscious curls did not mess with the wind, decorated embroidered of a silver head wolf with a golden crown on her chest.

~ HUFF HUFF ~

Even with her swiftness, the wind is caressing her face, her expression nonfluctuating, no one could tell what is she thinking. However, her mind is a mess right now.

Back in the shadows, branches thrashed and snapped as one man, behind the slender lady, growled sharp orders to the rest.

She could hear them clearly…

"Catch her! Don't let her run outside the woods!"

"Faster!"

They were out of breath, and the dryness in their throat prevents their answer to the orders. They only could run faster.

However, no matter how fast they are. The lady is faster.

'If someone told me before that this was going to happen. I would rather stay in the Palace and not follow the servant. They used my Second Royal Brother's name to take me out.' The lady's thoughts were in sync with her footsteps and stomped on some branches.

'Master, I don't think this way will make them stop, we are reaching the human's border…' a male childish voice resounded in her mind.

'Oh no! We're about to reach that place. We can't continue with the path… However, the moon is leading us forward!' The lady felt the moon's energy gathering ahead of her, and she gritted her teeth and continue forward, not stopping, but running faster.

She can't understand the moon language, however… she can sense the feelings of the moon. And she feels the moon calling for her to move forward, there is a safe place in front of her.

"She is reaching the human border! Don't let her advance!"

"If she reaches, we can't move freely outside the border…"

Several voices resounded throughout the woods behind her. And she increased her speed.

'The Moon Goddess says, 'Your bound and destiny is ahead, continue, your destiny will keep you safe and sound.' So, you don't need to worry and continue.' Another childish voice resounded in the lady's mind; this time is a female childish voice.

Her words stunned the lady. Getting speechless, the lady trusted the childish voices and followed the lightened path.

After a couple of minutes of running, she saw the border…

Normal human eyes can't see the border.

The sky-blue eyes below the white cloak shone with determination under the moonlight. "Let's move forward!" exclaimed the lady, feeling a fire spread in her heart, some red sparkles covered her white long fluffy cloak as she moved faster and faster.

The lady rushed faster towards the boundary between the human world and the supernatural world.

It was like a golden wall, she can't see the other side, but her heartbeat sped up.

~Da-dum, Da-dum~

She could feel it… it is like her heart will jump out of her chest at any time, she can't figure it out the reason. It is not the adrenaline; it is not fear…

'Ah! Why am I feeling so excited?' The lady wondered.

The closer she got to the golden wall, the faster her heartbeat was.

"…" The two childish voices could feel the rushing emotions she gave birth to, but they could not understand them.

Just when she was about to reach it, a giant green snake jumped in her direction. And it took her off guard.

"Thy the spirits under the moon, I call for thy protection upon my behalf, shall it protect me from the malicious intent of my enemies." Murmured the lady.

White and warm light surrounds her, forming something like a cocoon covering her entire body.

The giant snake bites the cocoon, and its fangs and tongue collide with the cocoon, and its fang breaks, and its tongue hurt. The impact made the snake rebound and the pain make it retreat in fear.

The lady sighed in relief.

But she did not lower her guard, and moved faster, she already had a foot on the other side of the golden wall.

She always wondered why she always could pass through the golden wall when any other person could not?

'Maybe it's my mysterious power…' the lady murmured in her heart.

But this time she did not think of it deeper, she can think about it later on. She was glad because it means that her persecutors could not reach her once she reaches the other side.

However, she did not know that… On the other side, there is something else waiting for her…
