Synopsis
The uncommon love story of the Hero and the Demon Lord who have been betrayed and outcasted by their kingdom. Hello, I am Excel. I am a former hero who got exiled by the Gnossaria Kingdom, which is the largest kingdom on the human continent. This is my story where I would later encounter with the Demon Lord and become friends with her. [Author's note: Most of the PoV you'll be reading in this novel will come from Excel, I will put a heads up if the PoV were to change to someone else. Also, can someone maybe drew a cover for me? I'm trying to get better at drawing, but it's still nowhere near presentable. And I'll mention your name in the description later]

Chapter 1 - Exile

"We don't need you anymore, you have finished your purpose of being a hero. Now get lost!"

That was what I was told before I lost my job.

I am Excel, a 17 year old and a former hero from the human continent. I was expelled because they had no use for me anymore after I defeated the Demon Lord's army for humanity's sake.

With what little supplies I have on me, I decided to set off for a place to stay, far from civilization and, hopefully, trouble. Luckily, I have the skills required to sustain myself in the wild so I would be fine.

I never had anyone I can call friends, I was the outcast in the orphanage, people call me a monster for having strong strength to even make the adults kneel down. Then, after the prophecy was told by the Saint, I was taken away by the Gnossaria Kingdom to be trained as a hero. That was 3 years ago.

No more shackles, no more orders, just freedom, I thought. Maybe I can be myself after this without anything to hold me back. I feel nothing of some sort of malice against the Kingdom, it has always been like this.

"No reason to regret over what's done, just use it as a lesson for future me." I murmured.

Standing in front of the city's gates, I rechecked what I have and set off to some unknown land to settle down.
