At the current time, a figure could be seen floating inside of what looked to be an infinite void of nothingness. The figure revealing to be a young male no older than seventeen, hovering in the space as if he were floating underwater.
The male had slightly pale skin along with a rather lean build, having smooth brown hair and a pair of eyes of unknown colour, this was due to the fact that the person didn't have their eyes open. The clothing that the male wore was very simple, he was barefoot and was wearing a simple white t-shirt and a pair of black pocketless shorts.
As stated before, the male had his eyes completely closed as his body continued to hover in the void. The male didn't even seem to be moving at all, not even a single twitch from what could be seen. It would be a rather bizarre sight if anyone were to see it.

Hearing the robotic voice, Katsuo's ears couldn't help but twitch, and soon enough, his eyes also began twitching as they slowly opened up. After opening slightly, Katsuo blinked a few times before his eyes fully widened as a look of confusion appeared on his face.
"Wh-What?" That the was first word that came out of Katsuo's mouth as he looked around the endless void, his amount confusion couldn't even be explained in words. "Where am I? Wasn't I in the hospital bed? What the hell...?"
Katsuo had so many question right now, and no way of getting answers. He knew that he was dead, that he could be certain of. He remembered himself suddenly having been forced awake after being hit by an immensely painful heart attack, and he was able to stay conscious for long enough for his parents to call in an emergency to send him to the hospital.
Which was impressive in its own right since the heart attack lasted throughout all that time.
Back to the topic, he wasn't really surprised by the fact that he died, the doctors had estimated that he'd die around this age. The question now was where the hell he was, was this perhaps heaven? Hell maybe? Or perhaps it was limbo and the place that he was going to be judged.
"Shit, I wonder how my parents are faring..." Katsuo couldn't help but worry despite his ridiculous situation. His parents had always made sure to stay by his side as much as possible, his father would even sleep on a chair in his room to keep an eye on him.
He did remember seeing his father panicking while calling for an ambulance, Katsuo's screams of agony obviously woke the guy up. Considering how much he knew his parents cared for him, he couldn't help but worry about how they're faring emotionally due to his death.

"What?" Katsuo blinked when the robotic voice sounded once again. He looked around in confusion before his eyes locked onto a blue holographic screen in front of him, more specifically, in front of his chest. "What in the world...is this?"

"Ack! My freaking head...!" Katsuo winced heavily when this voice was trying to pronounce the name of whoever it was referring to. The pain didn't last long though as Katsuo then gave a surprised and confused look. "A second chance? So, I'm not dead then... at least not anymore."
Katsuo looked at his hands with hidden shock as he then felt his neck, his body wasn't cold, it felt warm like always. If this situation right now was a dream, then it was one hell of a realistic dream. But, if it's reality, then did that mean he was really being given a second chance?
'What was it called? Gamer System? Is it similar to those novels?'
Katsuo had read about similar situations, but those were all fictional stories online that he had read in his free time. From his knowledge of what a Gamer System is, it was basically a real-life system that allowed the person involved with it to live their life as if they're a video game character.
"That... sounds totally wicked!" Despite his current situation, Katsuo couldn't help but feel excited. He still felt sad about dying and leaving his parents behind, but the idea of being able to live like those in the novels he's read sounded totally awesome.

Looking at the available options, Katsuo blinked when he saw the last option currently appearing as being greyed out. Obviously, it didn't seem to be available to him at the moment. If it was locked now, that probably meant he could find a way to unlock it in the future.
For now, he'll take a look at the options that he did have available. The first one 'Status' was obviously one of the most important, so he'll take a look at that one last. He first went through the other three, and naturally, the 'Quests' and 'Inventory' sections were empty, though 'Abilities' did seem to have something.

Looking at the abilities that he now had, Katsuo couldn't help but widen his eyes at the implications that the first two had, mostly the Gamer's Body. That meant that he could even have his leg or arm cut off and it would just grow back over time, that just sounded insanely powerful. Whether or not that'd work for his head, he didn't want to find out.
"Wait, disease..." Katsuo narrowed his eyes before placing his hand over his chest. He could feel his heart beating, but it wasn't hurting at all. In fact, he had been so distracted these past few moments that he hadn't registered a few things that were abnormal about his body now.
Unlike what he was used to, there wasn't a constant pulse of pain every now and then due to his heart, and his breathing was much calmer. He did just wake up, after his death that is. Did this Gamer's Body ability kick in after he woke up and healed him.
"It does say that it can recover from disease and poison... holy shit." Katsuo couldn't help but laugh a bit, though it was a broken laugh. The very disease that had caused him such suffering throughout his whole life, completely gone just like that. He had no idea how to properly react.
Shaking his head, he dismissed the 'Abilities' menu, he moved onto 'Status'. The sudden good news was so sudden that he didn't know how to properly celebrate it, so he decided to just move on, though he was obviously feeling much happier.

"Oi, why the hell is my Intellect so freaking low?" Katsuo had a strained smile on his face when he saw the information he was given. Was this system calling him fucking stupid? He may not be the smartest person out there, but he wasn't at all stupid. He had good freaking grades! "Why are my physical stats so high though? Wait, God Slayer? The fuck?"
Katsuo had naturally immediately looked towards his main stats upon opening the screen, it was what most people who played games paid attention to immediately when going to their character screens. Since he did this, he hadn't noticed that his race, as in his species, was not listed as human.
He narrowed his eyes before tapping his finger on the 'God Slayer' words, and fortunately, a small screen appeared beside his 'Status'.

Well, at least that also told him that the system was also not calling him an idiot. If this information was accurate, then that seemed to insinuate that the strongest of normal humans would probably have a stat of ten. That meant that him having a seven for his Intellect wasn't bad.
However, he doubted that the Intellect attribute actually referred to how smart he was, at least not anymore. It wasn't like adding points into that attribute would suddenly transfer random bits of knowledge into his head.
"Hey, system. Intellect doesn't really reflect my knowledge, right?"

"I see, good to know." Katsuo nodded in thanks to the reply before turning his attention back towards the status screen. He dismissed the screen displaying the information regarding his new race and paid attention to the rest of the info. "Ten thousand... so, that's literally one million yen. Does that mean the place I'll end up utilises yen?"
He did recall that little statement from the system about him being transported into a new world, and from what he could see on the status, perhaps that world utilises yen. If that was the case, he wouldn't be surprised if the world he gets transported into is another version of Japan.
He had read novels that did that instead of having the character be reborn into a medieval fantasy world.
Aside from currency, everything else wasn't too eye catching. Health and mana points were pretty easy to guess, health was obviously... well, his overall health. Mana points were basically a special form of energy for him to perform supernatural feats, such as casting spells.
After nodding in satisfaction, Katsuo swiped away the screen.

Before Katsuo could say anything, he found his vision suddenly blinded by a blanket of white.

At the current time, the citizens that were currently having a walk or a small visit to the park here in the Tokyo were all staring in confusion when the fountain at the centre of the park suddenly had an explosion of water occur. Obviously, none of them were expecting it and were wondering why it happened.
They soon got their answer though when they saw a young man suddenly rise up from the water of the fountain, his clothes and body drenched as streams of water ran down his body. The male looked to be slightly panting, obviously regaining his breath.
"Fuck... didn't expect to be thrown into a freaking fountain!" Katsuo shouted under his breath when he shook off the water on his body and stepped out from the fountain. He shivered a bit as the wind brushed up against his soaked body. "I need some new clothes..."
Katsuo did die while in his sleep, sot he clothing he wore was very simple and was comfortable for sleeping in. He literally didn't even have a pair of shoes on him right now, so he was standing barefoot with a simple t-shirt and a pair of shorts to keep him warm. Oh, and his boxers underneath.
Now, considering these thin pieces of clothing were soaked, he really needed to go and buy some new clothes. With the money that the system had provided for him, he should have more than enough for him to buy a simple set of clothes.
"Mommy, why was he in the fountain?"
"Don't look, dear. He's just having a swim..."
"Wow, look at those muscles!"
Katsuo snapped out of his own thoughts as he heard the people around him talking, and he couldn't help but sweatdrop when he heard their words. He could see now that a bunch of people were giving him weird looks... as well as a few unrealistically horny chicks drooling at him.
Looking down, Katsuo noticed that his originally lean body had gained quite an incredible transformation. While his body remained lean, he gained a very developed body with tight, strong and compact muscles. With his shirt sticking to him, various abs could be seen underneath.
'Is this because of that God Slayer thing? With how much power it's supposedly given me, did it have to transform my body so it could hold that much power? I guess it'd make sense...' Katsuo couldn't help but think as he looked at his own body.
With how weak his heart was back in his original world, he didn't have the luxury of being able to going to the gym or doing any kind of extreme physical activity without the risk of causing extreme problems for his health. He wanted to play sports with his friends, but he just couldn't.
Shaking his head, Katsuo ignored the looks he got as he walked along the path towards wherever the hell. The first place he was going to try and find was a clothing store, and with how big this version of Tokyo looked, evident by the various endless streets of skyscrapers, he'd definitely want to explore to see any potential differences.
