Chapter 6 - Chapter 4 - Flame

After some excessive days of working non-stop on the project, as well as communicating with other companies that would be interested in it.

It was almost time for the meeting with the management committee, and I already felt drained, I tried to push all the thoughts away, my mind focusing on what I had to say

"Sir, we have a visitor" announced my secretary,

Looking up from my desk, I gave her a nod,

"Ok, take them into the conference room," I said standing up and leaving the work area, heading straight for the conference room.

As I walked in, I could immediately sense their presence, their presences were overwhelming.

They stood at one side of the room facing towards the doorway, their faces blank, I looked at them, they were young, barely 23 I reckoned, the eldest was in the middle, his face was impassive, dark eyes scanning my body in detail, he was wearing a black suit, and his hair tied back neatly, he gave me a smirk as I entered, he had piercing green eyes that glistened, making them stand out against the darkness of his clothes.

His partner sat further to the front, looking just as impassive as her brother, the youngest was in between, her features sharp, and cold, she gave me a nod, her eyes never once leaving mine.

When they caught me staring, my heart skipped a beat for a second, the intense stare almost burning holes through my soul.

A man, younger than them stood up, walking past them in my direction,

"Mr. Hephaestus, I presume?" he asked with a deep husky voice.

"Yes, that would be correct, it's good to meet you," I replied, holding out my hand,

He smiled at me, shaking my hand softly. He released his grip before replying,

"I apologize for the rudeness in my siblings, their behavior was not the best, it's nothing compared to that of mine". He stated, chuckling to himself before continuing.

"I am the current CEO of Argus Designs, I'm glad to see you in person sir. Please follow me, we are all very excited about the presentation of your work, as well as yours and Mr. Hephaestus'. We all look forward to working with you".

He motioned us both to sit down at the table in the corner, which we did, he then proceeded to give us all a brief overview of the project itself, explaining all the details that went along with it, as well as the changes that we had to make.

By the time he had finished his introduction, I had a better understanding of what kind of project we were working on, it looked similar to my own design but there were a couple of minor differences, and although the overall concept seemed like mine, and although I was pretty sure that the final product would be something similar to my own design, the main difference was this: This project was going to showcase my designs in such a way to show off the company's creativity. And the best part was, that there was a high likelihood that I would actually be able to work alongside one of the designers to create a new version of my design as part of the marketing campaign.
