Chapter 54 - 54- A Fresh Feeling

The old librarian of Kaerlud, who gave the complete information about Quick-quack message to Sebastian, woke up early at three o' clock in the morning with a shock. He felt that he was a school boy and he would have to prepare for the exams. He woke up and got out of bed and went to his personal library. What he was searching he did not know. He did not remember. Why he was searching the books he did not know. He forgot. He saw something in his dreams. That was why he was shocked and woke up. Then he sat down frustrated. Why can't I remember what I saw in my dream? I was reading something in my dream: he thought. He put his hands on the desk. A paper chit he saw. On it a number of dates were written. Now he remembered he was searching for this very thing. He fetched a fat encyclopedia volume and turned the pages. There he found a page. On it was written Adam and Eve Island. He read the whole entry. There after a few minutes he found what he was looking for:

The tribal people of Adam and Eve Island are mainly hunters and gatherers type. Man and woman all hunt together. On Xexe Island, near Adam island, not much games are found except small rabbits, crickets and other insects and snakes and frogs etc. But on Yeye island black bucks and birds are found. So most Xexe islanders take barges and cross sea to Yeye island and hunt bucks and big games like bears, etc. To attract bucks they make a certain noise which is onomatopoeically represented as: Quick-quack quick quack. It is a very good and effective technique. The bucks and bears get attracted toward from where the sound had originated. But once they come, the islanders make a circle around the prey while hiding themselves inside bushes. The prey gets confused where the sound comes. At this juncture of time the islanders shoot arrows, careful enough not to shoot at each other. Then they take as much meat they want home on their barges.

The old librarian seemed delighted. He had half cracked the code. His eyes shone bright. He had read this piece from the encyclopedia when he was a child. He took a photo of the page from his smart mobile phone and sent it to Sebastian's number.
