Lucas glanced through the small mirror above the dashboard, which showed a reflection of Elle and the little girl with her head on Elle's lap. One of Elle's hands moved in rhythm to stroke the girl's hair while occasionally making sure that her sleep was not disturbed. Even when her gaze looked outside through the window beside her, the movement did not stop. She seemed to do it unconsciously.
Then a smile tugged at his lips. It was a sight that he had dreamed of long ago. Having the woman he loved to sit with their daughter in the back seat while driving the car, his wish was straightforward, wasn't it? Unfortunately, he needed to wait longer for that to happen. Hopefully so.
Elle suddenly turned her gaze towards him and gave him a confused look. "Aren't you moving? It's green." She said in the same expression.
