Elle stretched her legs over the broad range of beach sand. She buried her feet in it and even patted the tops to make them even more solid. It was funny that Elle felt cold on those feet but felt warm on the rest of her body from the sun. So, she put her fingers into the sand to get the same contrast of feelings.
"Are you sure you don't want to go into the sea?" Jenny asked, half shouting from quite a distance away, but Elle could still hear it. They, Jenny and Karl, had just returned from a long-playing in the seawater.
Elle shook her head as she replied, "No." She really had no intention of drenching herself with water, even though the sea in front of her looked pleasant. Her purpose of being there was to enjoy the scenery. It was better to sit while listening to the soothing sound of the wind and the waves.
