"Dave," she called in a whisper as she felt his arms tighten. It was morning, and she had just turned off the alarm. But Dave wouldn't let her go, even though she knew he was awake.
Dave just mumbled unclearly and returned to enjoying his position. He smelled her with his eyes still closed and felt the warmth in his arms. It made him not want to wake up early.
She rolled her eyes at his reaction. Since last night, right after she said Linda's name, he had been acting a little weird by always taking the opportunity to hug her. He didn't leave her side and even followed her everywhere, except for the bathroom.
Oh, the bathroom! That gave her the idea.
"I need to pee," she said, waving her plan out of his arms. No. Not that she hated being in his arms—she loved it so much. But she needed a break from him for a moment. She needed some alone time.
