Carl closed his eyes. He focused the magic on his sword until it glowed silver pink, then tightened his grip. A second later, he opened his eyes and prepared to attack that thing.
Oh, that was not a fight. It was only their nightly routine, and his opponent wasn't Miku. It was just a boulder that Miku popped out of nowhere.
Carl ran and jumped while swinging his sword. The clash sounded loud, as hard as his swing bounced off him. And he was forced to jump back to lighten the effect. "Wow, that's so hard!" He exclaimed.
"It's easier than defensive practice inside the elements." Her response was relaxed.
His brows furrowed in disapproval. "This is also hard, Miku."
Miku shrugged and said, "No easy road to success."
He couldn't argue anymore, so he continued his practice.
Carl continued to attack the rock with full force. He came from the right side and then tried from the left side. He even flew from above with the sword straight down, but it failed. Not a single scratch on it.
