Chapter 4 - How can he be Lord Vampire?!

Due to the reflection of the bright light, Eleanore subconsciously closed her eyes while blocking her line of sight with her unused hand.

It wasn't just a blinding flash of light, not long after that, Eleanore felt that something infiltrated her body, causing her to fall to the ground with her hands still intertwined with Ivander's.

Eleanore didn't know how the man was, she couldn't see Ivander's figure clearly because it was covered in a glint of light that blinded her eyes.

A suffocating pain suddenly welled up inside Eleanore, causing the girl to bite her lip hard to hold back the pain that hit her body.

Eleanore had to endure the pain for a while until finally, the dazzling red light disappeared, and then Eleanore's body fell to her knees with a gasp.

Eleanore immediately sucked in as much oxygen as possible, she felt like all her breath had been taken after agreeing to take an oath with Ivander.

When the girl forgot Ivander's presence, a knee fell in front of her with a strong thud.

With that, Eleanor lifted her head to see what was happening, and what she saw next took her by surprise.

Ivander's figure fell to his knees in front of Eleanore with his head hanging and his hands hanging limply at his sides.

"Hey! Are you okay?" Eleanore dragged herself over to Ivander and shook the man's shoulder to see how he was.

Eleanore became worried when she saw no response from Ivander's figure. Forgetting her own predicament, Eleanore tightened her shock on Ivander's shoulder to wake him up.

"Stop shaking me like that, you want to kill me huh?" said Ivander hoarsely as he glanced at Eleanore who was still looking at him with a worried look.

"You're still alive? I thought you didn't survive from your strange ritual earlier," replied Eleanore, breathing a sigh of relief when she heard Ivander's answer.

Ivander just rolled his eyes and ignored Eleanore's words to him, the man straightened his body elegantly. Not to forget, he cleaned the dirty side of his robe.

Eleanore looked at Ivander with a look of disbelief, how could the man act like nothing had happened to him. Eleanore who was still in awe didn't even respond to the outstretched hand Ivander gave her.

"Do you want to continue to stare like that?" asked Ivander.

Hearing Ivander's words, Eleanore immediately realized that she was currently acting like an idiot. "Forgive me." Eleanore immediately grabbed Ivander's outstretched hand and straightened herself with the man's help.

Eleanore immediately let go of Ivander's hand and turned towards the entrance of the cursed cave, she was tired of being in this cave. Eleanore couldn't wait to go back to her house and sink into her warm bed.

Eleanore also brought her things which she put not far from the entrance of the cave, when she looked out, the rain had stopped too. She rushed out of the cave and prepared to walk down from the mountains.

However, there was one odd thing that really bothered Eleanore, "Why is that damn Vampire following me?!" Eleanore thought in surprise as she looked behind her and realized that Ivander was following her.

"How dare you call me a goddamn Vampire!" said Ivander angrily from behind Eleanore, the man walked quickly to catch up with Eleanore.

Eleanore couldn't help but be amazed when she heard what Ivander said, "How did he know what I was thinking!" Again Eleanore thought to herself.

"You stupid girl! I can read your mind." Ivander who was already in front of Eleanore rolled his eyes, then turned and walked ahead.

"Wait for me! Do you know where to go?!" Eleanore shrieked for Ivander who had left her.

When she had caught up with Ivander hardly, Eleanore asked something, "Then why did you follow me?"

"You have sworn to watch over me as a condition for me to get out of this mountain, of course I have to follow you so you can monitor me," said Ivander explaining their current situation.

"You didn't say that you would follow me!" replied Eleanore protesting that Ivander should have told her about this.

"You're the only one who doesn't understand what I'm talking about." Ivander shrugged nonchalantly.

Eleanore, who heard that, clenched her fists tightly to contain her annoyance and also gritted her teeth. Inhaling and exhaling slowly, Eleanore tried to be patient and restrain herself.

Ignoring the presence of the man next to her, Eleanore walked in front and didn't say anything else to Ivander.

. . .

It was late at night when Eleanore arrived at her house, with limp steps with a very tired body, Eleanore immediately went to her room and fell asleep right away.

Ivander who was walking after Eleanore fell into confusion when he saw the girl immediately fell on that soft object and did not move anymore.

"Then? What should I do now?" mumbled Ivander confusedly to himself.

He had been confined to the Shaded Hills for thousands of years without knowing any of the outside worlds, when he was free as he is now, he was confused about what should he do now.

In the end, Ivander decided to do the same as Eleanore did. The man lay next to Eleanore and looked at the sleeping girl's face.

. . .

Eleanore was awakened by the sound of the alarm clock ringing loudly. Shocked by the sound of her alarm, Eleanore immediately opened her eyes wide and was shocked when she saw the figure of a blonde man in front of her face.

"Who are you!" shouted Eleanore while backing away which ended up with her falling off from the bed.

Ivander burst out laughing from above the bed when he saw Eleanore fall from the top of her bed.

"You forgot me, hmm?" Ivander asked, sticking his head out of the bed in the direction where Eleanore had fallen.

"Get out of my bed!" said Eleanore as she pushed Ivander off the bed. She was still embarrassed because she fell stupidly in front of that damn Vampire.

Ignoring Eleanore's words to him, Ivander instead rolled on Eleanore's bed and instead looked at the girl with a wide grin on his face.

"I regret taking that oath. You know, you're annoying!" Eleanore was annoyed that she threw a pillow at Ivander's face which she thought was annoying.

Quickly, the girl ran towards the bathroom and rushed to clean herself, Eleanore didn't want to be late again today.

. . .

Eleanore didn't find Ivander when she returned to her room to put on her clothes. Eleanore didn't bother and focused on getting ready for her college again.

Seeing that it was already eight in the morning, Eleanore sped up her preparations to hurry to campus.

While outside her apartment, Eleanore was surprised again by the figure of Ivandee who was waiting for her at the outside door.

"Geez! Can you not frighten me?!" Eleanore took a step back when she was surprised to see Ivander's figure.

"Where are we going today?" Ivander asked ignoring Eleanore's words.

"There is no 'us' here. I'm going to college and for you I don't care, it's up to you where you want to go." After saying that, Eleanore walked past Ivander and disappeared.

"Looks like that human doesn't really care about my existence." Instead of being angry, Ivander widened his grin, "Just see what I'm going to do to you, Eleanore."
