Shane and Kevin hurried to the drive bay, passing through the two security checkpoints on the way. A couple of Resistance fighters were waiting around the parking spot, ready to move out on one word.
"You boys stay here. I'm taking the hummer," Shane announced, much to the surprise of his fighters. Just by looking at him, they realized that something had gone wrong.
"Is everything okay, Sarge?"
"Did something enter Sorus?"
"I don't have time to answer your questions. Give me the keys," Shane snapped, walking up to the vehicle.
The driver didn't dare to question him again. "We've refueled the hummer. She's good to go," he said, tossing the keys to Shane.
Shane jumped into the front seat of the vehicle while Kevin got in the back. The fighters quickly moved out of the way as Shane started the engine and drove the hummer onto the ramp.
"Open the gate!" Shane yelled as he pressed his foot on the accelerator.
