The Resistance fighters breathed a collective sigh of relief as the Reaver's glowing red eyes turned off, and the machine's limbs went limp.
Things would have turned out a lot differently if they had gone in with conventional weapons. Fortunately, Shane had learned from his previous mistake and equipped his whole unit with energy weapons and state-of-the-art rocket launchers.
With the Reaver down, Shane ordered his men to assist the fighters trapped inside the downed hummer. The gunner's body had been ripped in half, but the others were still alive. The Reaver's pincers had managed to put a few dents in the vehicle, but they hadn't penetrated the armor.
