Kevin accompanied Dr. Zhao to the hardware lab while Cassandra set to work, assessing the damage sustained by the Shieldmaiden 5000. Meanwhile, Dr. Stacey set up a conference call with Dr. Edna. They were going to need her help to break the encryption.
Inside the hardware lab, Dr. Zhao guided Kevin to the grafting and maintenance chamber. Though the damage was entirely external, Dr. Zhao wanted to run a deep system check to see how his ECUI had been performing so far. Once Kevin was firmly strapped to the table, Dr. Zhao connected Kevin's cyborg interface to his lab mainframe.
After running a basic diagnostic check and confirming all the internal circuits were intact, Dr. Zhao typed in a five-word password and opened up the BIOS menu for the ECUI.
"Switch to developer mode. Access weapon and defense system internal log."
