The cafes in Cloud Square were far more expensive than those in the other Olympian districts. Since they weren't exactly known to be easy on the pocket, a young man like Steve could easily lose a month's worth of salary on a full-course meal.
Things, however, were different for the girl from Psionis. Having won the opening round of the tournament she had not only paid a hundred million credits up front for her brother's treatment but also managed to save nearly thirty million for her personal expenses.
Since the organizers took care of most of her basic needs, there was little need for her to spend her hard-earned credits on anything. But today, she felt like going all out and treating herself for a change.
If Kelly had come to this place alone, she probably wouldn't have visited any cafes, but returned straight home. But since Steve was with her, she felt like she could unwind for a while and get her mind off her troubles.
