Kevin stood there petrified. The beeping soon became so loud that it drowned all other sounds in the room. Having never heard about a Null Charge device, he had no idea what he was up against.
"What the hell is a Null Charge device?" he yelled, covering his ears to block out the intense beeping.
The assistant AI ran a quick search on its database and displayed the available information on Kevin's HUD. But before he had any chance to read it, the irregular beeping turned into a continuous ping, which was quickly followed by a controlled blast.
Kevin was thrown off his feet as the shockwave spread across the room. Then suddenly, his body was lifted off the ground and he started floating in the air. His exoskeleton felt as light as a feather as he kept rising higher and higher, till his head touched the concrete ceiling.
