"We got contact! I repeat, we got contact!" Guzman shouted over the comms. "An unidentified bogey just entered the airspace. It's targeting the convoy. They need to get out of their vehicles and find cover!"
"What the hell was that thing?" Kevin yelled back, scanning the sky. His thermal sensors were not picking up any new heat signatures.
"I wasn't able to see it. That thing was going too damn fast!" Guzman shouted. "Just get them out of the streets!"
Kevin immediately grabbed Cassandra's hand and pulled her down from the hummer. "We gotta go now. Tell everyone to get out of their vehicles and make a run for the buildings. They can't stay on the streets a second longer."
Cassandra was too shocked to speak. Seeing Tyler's tank destroyer get blown up right in front of her eyes made her blood run cold. She never expected things to turn out like this, but there she was, standing in front of the burning wreckage.
