"Get back inside the shelter!" Kevin shouted over his communicator.
"What the hell is that thing?" Kurt yelled back.
"It's a Devastator; a titan class autonomous robot. We don't have enough firepower to bring it down. Take your men and retreat!"
Before Kurt could order his men to fall back, the Devastator marched up to their fortified position and sliced through the shields with its saw blades. Kurt's men fired their laser rifles in vain. The low-intensity laser pulses didn't even burn the surface of the Devastator's exoskeleton. It stepped over the destroyed barricades and locked onto its targets.
"Get out of here! Fall back!" Kurt yelled.
