Damien's voice was firm and urgent, "Beatrix, don't say that. Please. I can handle this. I won't let her hurt you."
"But you're hurting yourself." Beatrix cried. "I can't let you do this. I won't let you throw your life away for me."
"It's not throwing my life away. I love you. And I won't let anything happen to you." Damien replied.
Alina smirked, "Well, well. Isn't this just the sweetest thing I've ever heard."
Beatrix glared at Alina, "Let me speak to Damien. I need to talk to him."
Alina shook her head, "Sorry, sweetie. Time's up."
Beatrix felt a sense of desperation wash over her. She had to find a way to stop this. She wouldn't let Damien marry someone he didn't love just to save her.
"Damien, listen to me. We'll find another way. We'll figure this out together. I won't let you do this." Beatrix pleaded.
