Beatrix stood in the bathroom in front of the sink, folding her hands in front of herself as she shifted on her feet while Rhys closed the door, and her eyes looked up to catch a glimpse of herself in the mirror.
She frowned as she stared at herself in the mirror. All of her life she had been insecure about how she looked. It made her feel self-conscious, anxious, and vulnerable.
She had constantly worried about being judged or criticized by others based on her appearance.
Beatrix remembered the nights she had compared herself to all the pretty girls in her class and had felt inadequate and unattractive.
She had also felt like she didn't fit in or belong, which led to feelings of isolation and loneliness.
These negative thoughts and feelings had made it difficult for her to fully engage with others and enjoy life.
