"What? What's wrong?" the man asked cautiously, extending his support to help her stand.
"I think I'm gonna puke."
"What?! Not here. Come on, let's get to the bathroom."
"No, I won't make it," she replied in a feat of uncontrollable gag reflexes that made it difficult for her to contain the impending release.
"Just a few more steps," the man urged, guiding her as they shuffled toward the bathroom. With his assistance, she emptied the contents of the alcohol she had consumed that night, retching violently into the toilet.
How shameful… She thought to herself as he cleaned her up. Cradled in his arms, he carried her to bed, carefully tucking her in and ensuring her comfort as she drifted off to sleep.
