"Hello?" Rhys said, pinching in between his brows.
"Rhys…" Beatrix called him out softly.
Rhys felt a knot form in his stomach as he answered and heard Beatrix's voice, trembling and panicked, on the other end of the line.
"Beatrix? Oh my God! Is that really you? Where are you? Are you okay?"
Rhys asked a series of questions at once. He couldn't really believe that it was Beatrix calling him. He had thought that he had lost her forever.
"Yes…I don't know where I am. I fainted when I walked out of the washroom. I was having really bad cramps and wanted to sit down to wait for you. I'm sorry, I know you told me not to leave the stall and to wait for you to be back. Someone found me. So far I haven't really met who it is but don't worry I'm fine and they're taking good care of me."
Rhys felt a wave of relief wash over him at the sound of Beatrix's voice. But he couldn't shake off the fear that she was in danger.
