It was not long after Adeline and the werewolves had escaped through a path that suddenly became blocked that Cyrus rose to his feet.
His skin was bruised and peeled, and his hair was more fried than it was before. But all of this had meant nothing to Cyrus. His regeneration happened and every one of the bruises and peeled skin healed thus quickly.
This did not happen as fast for either Luka or Roland because as they rose to their feet, clearing the rocks away from them, they looked nothing more but weaker turns.
But Luka did not look miserable like Roland looked. Roland was the newest turned, and he was still yet to drink any blood. Instead of his regeneration happening as it did for Luka, even though slowly compared to how fast it was for Cyrus, he only became weaker and weaker in strength.
