Neo was looking into the circular black eyes of Death quietly. He was slowly sipping a cup of tea. Neo furrowed her brows in confusion.
"How.. are you drinking that tea?" Neo asked, placing her hands together.
"Hmmm....? Secret!" Death coyly retorted.
"Um.. Lord Death? You're not going to say anything about them being world travelers..?" Sid raised his hand and watched as Raven calmly drank her tea.
Pyrrha was eating a few biscuits while Neopolitan was putting Neo's hair in a ponytail. Neo was glaring at Death weakly with a pout. She leaned in to peek at what looked like his nose before he set his cup down with a pleased sigh.
"Well! I see no problem! But you do need a weapon to teach here. You held Spirit, which means you likely have a soul like Stein's, where you can use mostly any weapon" Death hypothesized.
"Oh yeah.. Though I thought it was just because he was a womanizer?" Neo responded in a matter-of-fact tone.
"GHHK!" Spirit, who was watching the talk, flinched and faceplanted the floor.
"I have weapons" Neo retorted back, ignoring the reaction of Spirit.
"That may be so but the students will question how you could teach as a Meister with no weapon partner.. Mmm... you'll also need to learn Soul Resonance too.. at least for appearance sake" Death rubbed his large fingers across his white mask/face.
That's when Neopolitan smiled and looked at Neo with a questioning face.
"The weapon partners? They're called Demon Weapons. Remember what I said earlier?" Neo clarified as Neopolitan pulled up the shop and looked in a search bar.
"Wait you're gonna do that? I guess I don't see any cons to it.." Neo hummed as Neopolitan found it and made a shop purchase.
Neopolitan's body glowed and she transformed into a pink, white and dark brown mechashift umbrella spear. Picking her up, Neo put the umbrella over her shoulder and gently spun it.
"So! Good enough?" Neo asked, looking over Neopolitan's design, carefully running her fingers over it.
"How handy! Yes, that should be fine. Stein, can you teach those two how to achieve Soul Resonance before start of the next week?" Death asked Stein, who was turning his screw and smiling while imagining all the experiments he could run.
"Oh I'm sure I can figure something out.." He returned a creepy smile at them.
"Hey.. I wanna be your weapon too.." Pyrrha's expression strained but before she could pull up the shop, Raven stopped her.
"Or.. she could be 'our' weapon" Raven looked at Pyrrha with a glint in her eyes and Pyrrha understood.
"Alright... you can all share me" Neo fake sighed with a teasing grin.
Later on, they were guided around the DWMA by Sid, who seemed unused to the situation. Spirit offered to take them to his favorite cabaret club but that was denied by Raven, Pyrrha and Neopolitan faster than Neo could even respond. Denying to stay at Stein's house for fear of being lobotomized or experimented on. They all received a spare room to themselves. Though the rooms were all single, so they decided to share Neo's room and switch out every night.
-Next morning-
Neo was currently outside the DWMA, holding Neopolitan in her weapon form. Her eyes were closed and it seemed as if she was meditating. There were a number of students around at the entrance, where she stood. Seeing that she looked so unique, a bunch of the students were whispering amongst themselves. All but one.
"YA-HOO!! Hey!! Pink lady!! Who do you think you are, trying to be a bigger star than me!?" A boy with spiky hair pointed at her.
~Trying to do Soul Resonance... Actually, this is a good chance..~ Neo thought to herself and got a confirmatory feeling from Neopolitan in her hand.
"Who do I think I am? Listen and listen well, Punk! My LEGEND dates all the way back to the twelfth century.." Neo stated ominously as a plain white top hat appeared over her head.
The boy made a sour face as soon as she said that. His face became more extreme once he saw her top hat materialize.
"No.. No you can't be-" He was cut off by a snort.
"Fool! I'm joking.. I'm not Excalibur" Neo laughed as the top hat dissipated.
At that, he visually relaxed and sighed in relief. Then came a black haired boy in a suit, with him were two blonde girls in jeans and shorts.
"Blackstar, what are you doing? You're holding up the- DISGUSTING!! YOU!!" He pointed at Neo and began to hyperventilate.
"Me!" Neo gestured at herself with a mocking grin.
"You're... YOU'RE.. not symmetrical!!!" He pointed at her in fury and disgust as one of the blondes behind him laughed.
"Yeah I do look pretty asymmetrical, don't I..?" Neo muttered, hearing Neopolitan's sheer annoyance at the boy calling Neo 'disgusting'.
"Oh don't worry about him, he's neurotic as hell" Neo whispered.
"Blackstar! Back me up.. Liz, Patty!" He called out to the blondes and held his hands out.
"Oh jeez.." The taller blonde complained while the shorter one saluted.
Both turned into pistols and flew into his hands. He took his combat stance and scoffed at Neo while Blackstar summoned his weapon partner, Tsubaki.
"Riiiight... you sure you guys want this?" Neo asked while twirling Neopolitan in umbrella form.
"Yeah! I'm gonna show you how big of a st-" Blackstar was quickly cut off when Neo seemed to appear in front of him and planted her foot into his gut and knocked him back.
"Kid, she's strong!" Liz warned before Neo blocked Kid's incoming fire with the umbrella cover.
"Thank you, Gun!" Neo shouted out and approached Kid while blocking his fire, only to hear and see Black Star beside her.
Blackstar was yelling and running at her, swinging Tsubaki's Kusarigama form at her. Smirking, Neo stepped away and caught the chain by turning Neopolitan into spear form and pivoting away. She planted her foot right back into Blackstar's gut, but this time, he was ready. Blackstar threw a palm full of soul force at her, which she countered with a palm of her own.
The attack was met with an expected glow of her aura and shocked Blackstar. He was shot back from the impact, his body sparking. Neo hummed in approval while dodging Kid's fire. She felt a connection to Neopolitan all of a sudden while ducking away from Kid's kicks and Blackstar's swings and shuriken throws. A connection in that they both showed the desire to style on these two.
Spinning Neopolitan in spear form, she deepened that connection. Their souls connecting in a profound way that expanded both of their souls. Waves of power assaulted both Kid and Blackstar as Neo began a Soul Resonance with Neopolitan. She found it easy once she got the feel of it. Both of their senses expanded and they could feel the every move both Kid and Blackstar made. Neo heard their clothes rustle from ten feet away. The looks of their faces. The way they'll attack. Both of them sensed it all.
Neo exhaled as their resonance reached its peak and Neopolitan's spear tip glowed as she pointed it upwards, then both Kid and Blackstar fell over before they could fully close the distance. Both falling face first into the ground and slid past Neo, who struck a dramatic pose with her hand over her face.
"Illusory resonance! Ha! Styled on these punk asses! Tempted to call that Kyoka Neogetsu.." Neo hummed and dispelled the resonance.
She and Neopolitan could have gone with a far more destructive move but they were in the DWMA and she did like Kid and Blackstar. Instead of destruction, she utilized a powerful illusion sent through the light and their enhanced magical soul wavelength. It wasn't even a bad illusion either. Neo sent them to their own personal heaven. Blackstar was put into an illusion where he was a huge celebrity. Kid was put into an illusion where everything in the universe was symmetrical. Liz, Patty and Tsubaki all got out of weapon forms and stood over their Meisters.
Immediately, Patty started laughing. Seeing that Kid's face was stuck in a tremendously happy expression and was crying tears of bliss. Blackstar had something like a perverted expression on his face and was laughing to himself boisterously.
"What.. did you do to them?" Tsubaki asked, still a bit worried.
"Oh no worries. I just put them into an illusion. Friggin' Mugen Tsukuyomi'd their asses..." Neo snickered to herself as Neopolitan exited weapon form with a smile.
"It should wear off real quick now, now that we're not in resonance" Neo shrugged and true to her word, both boys woke up quickly.
"I-What? What happened to my perfect world!?" Kidd asked then looked at Neo and Neopolitan, who looked like mirror images of the other.
Where one side was pink, the other's side was brown. It was incredibly symmetrical when the two were together. They mirrored each other in color so perfectly that Kid started to cry and get in a dogeza for calling her disgusting.
"Hahaha!! You're strong, Lady! But I'm a big man! So it'll take me NO time to get stronger than you!" Blackstar pointed at Neopolitan.
"Uh.. I'm the one who kicked you. Right over here" Neo raised her hand with a wry smile.
"Woah.. twins" Blackstar said. Then seemed to get more pumped up at the thought of beating them both.
"Hey.. what's going on, you guys?" A new boy walked in, with spikier hair and sharp teeth.
"Oh hey Soul. We just had a fight with this chick. But like the big man I am, I fell asleep during the fight!" Blackstar proudly stated.
"Ugh.. sure you- Wait, you're that Witch!" Maka was behind the spiky haired boy named soul and pointed at Neo.
"Technically. I'm a teacher here. You missed the first lesson! 'How to style on your opponents'. But don't worry! I'll go over lesson two later. I'll call it.. hmm..? Oh! 'Lesson two: acquire drip'" Neo nodded to herself with Neopolitan, who agreed and gave her a thumbs up.
"Oh great.. we got another lunatic as a teacher.." Maka groaned.
"Okay children! Go on to class! I have some talking to do with my partner here so shoo!" Neo started dispersing the crowd until she was left with just Neopolitan.
"So our first Soul Resonance went well! I think we really have a good set up here. Just be on the lookout for the nurse, okay? She's an infiltrating Witch who wants to bring the Kishin back into the world" Neo warned her, receiving a nod back and a 'lookout' gesture.
"What do you think of those kids? They're the 'heroes' of this world. Like team RWBY and JNPR were" Neo leaned back on a rail and asked while ignoring the Sun's laughing in the sky.
She briefly wondered how anyone could ever get used to that. The moon was creepy, sure. But at least it was quiet.
Neopolitan gave her a contemplative expression before sharing a look with Neo.
"Yeah, they do need to improve. But it'll be fast. They'll get better as they face the weirdest shit the world throws at them. I wanna kill Asura as soon as Medusa releases him from his skin bag. Preferably with the help of Death. Then we just have one more target!" Neo schemed with a happy expression before she heard an alarm.
It was the system. She saw red bars appear in front of her that all said the same thing.
[WARNING! WARNING! INCOMING REINCARNATORS HITTING CRITICAL MASS!]
"What..? Where!?" Neo looked around but, all of a sudden, she was dropped into a portal without any warning.
[EMERGENCY PROTOCOLS INITIATED! HOST MUST KILL AS MANY REINCARNATORS AS POSSIBLE AND STABILIZE THE UNIVERSE. DESTINATION FOR EMERFENCY QUEST: DRACONIC DEUS]
"Wait!! Wait a fucking minute!! Fuckfuckfuckfuck!!!!" Neo shouted as she was whisked away before Neopolitan could grab her.
Panicking, Neopolitan saw the portal close bedore she could go after Neo. Not knowing what to do, she pulled up the system chat.
-Meanwhile, in a certain universe-
There was a short girl, who looked like an elementary grade school kid and a red head with large breasts eating lunch during school's lunch break. After having dealt with a particular reincarnator issue, they were leisurely eating the redhead's amazing food. Both just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of eating without the constant chaos interrupting them.
Sadly, they wouldn't get to enjoy that peace for very long.
