Chapter 31 - Chapter 31: A Battle Worth of Coolness

(This is somewhat improved version of chapter 31. Please read the lowest part for more information.)

"Huff! Huff!"

A small girl that looked 8 or 9 years old ran through the forest. Her breathing was ragged, her small legs didn't let cover much distance in a short time.

Her eyes were teary, her heart thumped heavily as she hardly could breathe.

Behind her, two monsters that were humanoid in form chased her carrying a club in their hands. Even though they were slower than the girl, their long legs carried them faster than the little girl's legs.

"Hah! Hah!'

She ran using all of her strength like there was no tomorrow. She didn't even breathe properly which caused her eyes to be blurred due to lack of oxygen.

*SFX of a little girl falling to the ground*

The little girl's legs gave up. She fell to the ground. Her knees and elbows were scratched. Blood flowed out from her lips and nose as her face hit the ground.

Tears flowed from her eyes like a river.

'S-Someone save me!'

She didn't have the energy to shout, so she could just pray in her heart.

The two monsters whose height was two times of a normal man's, their bodies fat like pigs with red color dyed on their bodies.

They were called red orcs.

The little girl closed her eyes. Her body trembled with fear. She waited for the monster as she didn't have an ounce of energy to do anything.

Swoosh!

As she waited for her fate, a sound passed by her ears giving her hope.

Her small eyes opened and saw the scene that left her mouth agape. Her eyes widen as her heart beat rapidly.

The red orcs in front of her were burnt crisp. Smell of burnt meat drifted in the air. Wind blew and carried the ash of the monsters with it, leaving no trace of their existence.

"Ana!"

A loud voice rang in her ears, but she didn't have any energy to respond. Her fragile body relaxed and the pent-up stress and fear left her. She slowly closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

"Ana! Are you ok?!"

The boy called out to her, but only silence was left in the atmosphere.

Allen sighed. He looked at the girl and spoke.

"She passed out."

The boy nodded and spit a sigh of relief before carrying her in his arms.

"Let's go."

"Ok."

Allen lifted the boy and the girl using his telekinesis and flew to the village.

****

The smoke rose to the sky. Screams of terror and sorrow left the villagers' mouths as they ran for their dear life.

A Group of monsters mindlessly wreaked havoc on the villagers. They destroyed everything that came in their way.

Blood splattered all over the ground dying the soil red. The corpse of the villagers lay on the ground as black crows and small monsters chew it.

The whole village was surrounded by the horde of monsters leaving them no place to escape. The villagers could only wail and scream for help.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Just as they thought everything was over, an explosion rang in the vicinity.

Fire burnt the tress, and screams of monsters echoed in the forest attracting the attention of villagers.

"Look up!"

"Did God come to save us?!"

"Are we saved?"

Villagers looked up. A figure of someone floated in the air looking at the monsters and villagers like they were ants.

Snap!

As Allen snapped his fingers, the sky teared up. The horde of fireballs appeared out of thin air and floated in the sky covering the sun.

Clouds evaporated, the temperature rose significantly and the groups of fire fell like a droplet in rain.

As they land, the ground screamed. Explosion covered the huge forest turning every living thing into ashes.

A huge number of trees disappeared like that, and the scenery in front of the villagers was like the end of the world.

The 10% of the forest turned into barren land. No life could be sensed in that area as it disappeared into the thin air.

Hundreds of monsters in the forest marching on the villagers were wiped out, leaving only the monsters that were causing havoc in the village alive.

The remaining monster couldn't help but kneel on the ground shivering with fear. Like begging for forgiveness, they bow their head.

But they didn't get the forgiveness. Instead, the empty sky was filled with golden swords made up of pure energy.

The thousands of swords floating in the sky swayed with the movement of Allen's hand. Allen swiped his hand from top to bottom, and as he did that, the sword trembled.

The swords found their gravity and got attracted to the ground, no, they were attracted to the monsters.

Stab! Stab! Stab!

Numerous swords stabbed varieties of monsters. Head, leg, eye, mouth, no organs were left unscattered.

Blood gushed out from their injury and their corpse lay on the ground filling the empty lands.

With another movement of Allen's hand, cores flew from the monster's body to Allen's storage ring.

Allen nodded in satisfaction looking at the number of cores he gained from this event. He looked at the injured villagers and cast "Super Heal."

As he cast, green lights filled the sky again. The scenery was like art that came to life. The twinkling green light floated around injured villagers and entered their bodies.

The wounds healed up, the scars disappeared, and the injured body became new.

Feeling the change in their body, the villagers couldn't help but bow down. They pay their respect to their savior and cheer.

Allen ignored those words. He felt the demonic energy and aura of many tier 3 monsters coming from the west. He didn't waste a second flying there.

He did put down the duo before going there.

At the corner of the forest, hundreds of tier 3 monsters marched down. A youth sitting on a tier 4 monster smirked looking at his army.

It wasn't clear if this was a plan or a pure idiotic choice. Marching a hundred monsters could attract the attention of powerful people.

A master-realm mage could wipe out the hundreds of these monsters with a snap of their finger. It won't even be a work for them.

So, if this was just a whim not a plan then, it was just pure idiotic.

While they were marching, the temperature of the forest decreased.

The wind starts rotating forming a tornado. The tornado began chilling as its color changed into blue. Icy air blew from the tornado freezing anything it touched.

The icy tornado strode at them.

If it was only one, the monster wouldn't have panicked. But tens of this tornado formed out blowing winds caused the monster to tremble in fear.

Terror flashed in their eyes as they saw fire appearing out of the thin air. The fire rotated creating a huge tower.

The rotating fire marched at the monster burning everything it passes through.

The monster cowered, their instinct told them to run.

Not long, the monster stepped backward. They started running in different directions. But, they again stepped backward hitting another monster.

The four directions of the forest were blocked by the tornado and fire. Many icy tornados and fire towers moved toward them cornering them from every direction possible.

And as it reached the monster, only screams could be heard.

The monster that was far from this place couldn't help but shudder just listening to the scream. The weak monsters all cowered and hid in their habitat.

The strong monster's heart wavered but they ignored the screams and mind their own business.

In just ten minutes, the marching monsters either turned into ash or turned into ice.

Only the youth sitting on the tier 4 monster was left.

Allen collected all the core skillfully.

All the cores he had collected until now have crossed thousand.

"Tch!"

He clicked his teeth regretting his action. He could have sold those monster body parts if it weren't for him turning them into ash.

But, he also didn't have much space in his storage ring to collect the bodies. So, with an aching heart, he parted away with the monster's bodies.

Allen teleported and appeared before the youth.

Just the presence of Allen caused the youth to knelt. He couldn't lift his head. The pressure on his head was so heavy that the ground below his head crumbled.

Everything is over!

The youth thought as a mouthful of blood flowed from his mouth, Because of the pressure, he couldn't even spit out the blood.

Interesting.

Allen smiled evilly.
