Ethan's POV
My eyes widened the moment I saw her standing there. My body was frozen and I can't let anything out of my mouth. She smiled at me with tears in her eyes. She tried to reach out for me but I step back. "I...No, it can't be true, It's not real, Y-You're just in my head, this is only my imagination" I put my hand on my head and started shaking. I closed my eyes as I took more step backwards and froze when I felt a pair of arms around me. My eyes shot open and realised that Lizzy was hugging me. My hands fell to my sides and I could feel my wolf is back. He was howling with excitement because he had found his mate again. I fell into tears and hugged her back. She let out a shaky breath and we both fell to the floor. She pulled away and looked at me in the eye and cupped my cheek in her hands. "It's not your imagination, I'm here" She smiled and tears ran down her face. I wiped her tears with my thumb and she closed her eyes. I smiled back at her and whispered "I'm happy...your back" My voice cracking.
I pulled her into a huge bear hug and she hugged me back. "You're here, you're really here. I thought you would never came back, I started to lose hope." I said to her as she hugged me tighter. "I'm sorry I close that door on you...I was shocked at first and I didn't know how to react...I missed you these past 2 years and- I'm just- I'm sorry" She pulled away and looked up at me. I finally smiled at her and everyone gasps "A-are you smiling?" Ruby said, shock in her voice as I laughed "You even laughed?! Dear Lord,-" She said again "I am when I have Lizzy around" I said and pulled Lizzy close to me "I missed you so so much, you know?" I said and I kissed her without wasting another second. She froze at my actions but kiss me back. Everyone cheered at the background. After a few seconds, we pulled away and I put my hand on her cheek "We got some explanation to do" She said and we both burst into laughter.
We decided to walk to the park to catch up things with our hand intertwined. "I see that this place haven't changed a bit since I left" She said looking around. "Yeah, and I got something to tell you" I turned her to face me "Hmm? Sure" I took a deep breath "Lacey told me about...a lot. She said that it was dad's plan to make you leave me, leave us. Dad said that he would do anything for being the powerful alpha of all" I looked down feeling my blood boil until Lizzy put a hand on my cheek and lift my face up to see her. She smiled "It's okay, it's in the past now, and we can't change the past, right?" I smiled at her and put my hand above hers before I kiss the back of her hand. "Andrew and Ruby has something to tell you about" She looked confused but I pushed her back inside while giggling to herself.
Once we're inside, I pushed her to the living room to find Ruby leaning on Andrew while they laugh on his jokes. Lizzy smiled at them "Guess who's having the time of their life" She smirked before Ruby started screaming and hugging her "My bestieee! Gurl! I miss youu" She started squealing and squeezing Lizzy. "C-can't b-breathe" She whined and Ruby quickly let's go "Sorry, too excited" She let out a nervous laugh "I miss you too bestie" Lizzy smiled and hugged her again. Andrew walks up towards them as Lizzy let's go of Ruby and he chuckled "Welcome home, Lizz-" I smacked his head before he could say it "Oww, jeez" He growled at me and I glared at him "You know the rules, it's your fault"
Elisabeth's POV
I laughed at the brotherly attitude between Ethan and Andrew. Andrew hugged me which I gladly return before I heard Ruby squealing behind me. I pulled away from Andrew and turned to Ruby "I got something to tell you" Her smile widened "I figured" I smiled and nudge Ethan's arm playfully then he chuckled at me. "I'm engaged!" She shouted and jumped around like a little kid and here I am, standing like an idiot with my mouth agape. I was lost in my thoughts, I barely heard him chuckled behind me. He put one of his hands under my chin and push it up to close it while Ruby is still jumping around. I went back to reality and snap my head towards Andrew. I marched to him and grab his collar. His eyes widened a bit"Why are you two not married yet?! How did you propose? Details required!" I demanded and he laughed.
"Easy there tigress, I'll give you details" Andrew pushed me down on the couch. "I proposed a year after you left, but we decided that we will get married when you came back" He explained. "Where that guy over there," He points at Ethan and he looked at him before looking back at me "Locked himself up in that damn room for 2 fucking years" I snap my head at Ethan with wide eyes as he looked down "Is that true?" He sighs deeply "Yeah..." I stand up and walked towards him "But why?" I asked "I...Don't want to talk about it..." He looked away and I sigh. It was silent for a couple of minutes until Andrew decided to break it. "I think you two should do some catch ups, there's a lot happening in the last 2 years" I looked at him with a sad smile and nodded slowly.
I grab Ethan's hand and dragged him to our room. We both walked inside and sat on the edge of the bed. I looked at him "You wanna talk about it?" He looked hesitant for a bit before he sigh "I locked myself because I'm stressed and I missed you so bad. I know you're not coming back, so I didn't feel like I wanna talk to anyone" He looked down "Andrew texted me to come out of my room so that I'll be there for the proposal, so I did, 2 days later, I went out again to make things clear between me, dad, and Lacey" He mumbled the last part "I give my right as Alpha to Andrew since I lost the love of my life" My eyes widened as he smiled at me "T-the love of y-your life?" I cursed myself for stuttering and slap myself internally. He grabbed my chin and forced me to look up at him "I love you, Lizzy" I froze
"I've fallen inlove with you since day one, since the day that I met you, I know that you'll be the one who'll change my life. I wanted to tell you this but, I guess God has other plans," His expression changes to a pained one "And you left. I couldn't take the pain and I locked myself from the world. I didn't believe it when you came back and I just-" I cut him off and kissed him. His eyes widened slightly and I pulled away. "What was that for?" I laughed "That's how I say I love you too" He grins at me and pushed me down the bed and kissed me. His lips moves from my lips to my jaw and my neck "Ethan..." I breathe out, his head came closer to my ears and he whispered "Enjoy it my lady" He kissed my ear
