Beatrice led her mercenary troops by standing at the forefront. I accompanied the woman on the right. Behind us were 150 armoured and fully armed troops.
"How are you going to save them?" asked Beatrice, glancing at the woman with a strong expression.
"That will be my business. You make sure they're all defeated right before sunrise," I said.
Lysa was seen bringing me a horse to ride there. Beatrice agreed to my proposal, which immediately caused envious stares from the other mercenaries, including Joan.
"Thank you," I said to Beatrice and Lysa.
"Be careful," Beatrice said. I nodded slowly.
Immediately I stepped on the footing of the saddle, which made the horse I was riding begin to move away. I took a side road, a small route that only the five bandits knew – I knew because they told me beforehand.
