Suddenly they started to leave the cathedral after this incident; they left Lady Arya in the cathedral with her trusted people. I couldn't go anywhere either. They kept me from going out with the excuse of wanting to hear a direct explanation from me.
"What is your name?" Lady Arya asked me.
"Arthur Mason," I answered flatly.
"What is your purpose for coming to Northrest? Are you planning to take this city out of my hands?" Lady Arya asked, curious.
The cathedral door opened again. I looked away and saw Robert enter in the same uniform and gun. Lady Arya also looked at him, as did the people he trusted.
"He came to ask for your protection, My Lady," said Robert, walking down the cathedral grounds and slowly starting to approach Lady Arya.
"My protection? What's the matter with him?" Lady Arya asked, pointing to me.
"They're after him. He's one of the revealed paladins." Robert is now standing entirely beside me. Surprisingly, he immediately kneels obediently with his head lowered. I forgot to kneel, considering she is the ruler of this city. Quickly, I started to follow what Robert was doing.
"Poor man, you must have been having a hard time these past few days," explained the woman in front of me, her voice starting to soften for some reason.
Robert was seen starting to stand up from his knees; I followed what he did. I looked at Lady Arya's face, several times the woman glanced at her husband's spear which was held by me. Finally, I realized she still wasn't willing to let this thing not be where it belonged.
"David, can you take him to Riverdale please. Give him everything he needs," said Lady Arya.
A man stepped forward, tall with long black hair. His long-sleeved animal skin jacket covered him below his knees and was buttoned almost entirely at the top left side. The sleeves of his jacket fit snugly and reached deep below his hands, adorned with decorative ribbons around the edges.
One thing that caught my attention was the iron bow he held, decorated with red ornaments. Each edge of the bow had a deer antler, two deer antlers. I'm curious, how did they make it?
"This way, Sir Arthur," replied the man named David, ushering me out of the cathedral through the main door.
I don't go with Robert at all. For a moment, I noticed the man was having an intense conversation with Lady Arya. Then, the further I walked, the fainter their voices became, until they were utterly inaudible when I was completely outside the Water Cathedral.
I noticed that the attention of the people who were still gathered in front of the cathedral was terrifying, not to kill me, but to frighten me. Even David shot one of his arrows into the sky and exploded to calm them.
"Please understand, they've only seen this happen in the last five years," David said, shielding me by walking towards the crowd's edge.
In the end, I was able to break free from their clutches. The bulging eyes, the shrill screams, and of course, the words that were so enthusiastic were a special experience for me at Northrest.
The gate opened, revealing the magnificent appearance of Northrest City Palace. Eleven narrow circular towers surround the castle, twice as high as the walls and connected by large, sturdy walls made of light blue.
It harmonizes with several aspects, such as the garden in the front yard, the defender walls of the palace, to the city flag, which is in harmony with the primary color of the palace. I pondered in awe at the beauty of the architecture that took me back to ancient times.
"You're just admiring the palace from the front. You'll be even more amazed to see what Riverdale looks like from the inside," David replied, his left hand outstretched for me to walk through the iron gate studded with white jewels.
The door opened, clearly visible a large hall with seven pillars with a large diameter. If I estimate, this place can probably accommodate around 3000 people simultaneously.
What caught my attention was the Palace Throne, which was made of white marble stone arranged in such a way as to provide comfort. Not only that, a white tapestry stretched from the throne down through the middle path, splitting the hall into two semicircles.
The walls to the right and left of the throne are affixed with the flag of the City of Northrest. A flag consists of a navy blue background and a white bird with a river flowing between its wings; two vertical white stripes harmonize with the bird's color.
"You saw it?" asked David. He seemed to notice that I was pausing to admire the beauty of the inside of Riverdale Castle.
"It is our flag, symbolizing happiness, heritage, and peace," David replied, explaining the meaning of the city's coat of arms to me.
"What bird is that? I don't see it as a hawk."
"It's not," David answered.
"Snowy owls. It is a snow owl," said David.
"Why an owl?"
"The animal is known as a hunter who is patient, as well as fierce. Our first Lord took care of him and kept him as a pet, just before we decided to make him a sacred animal for Northrest," explains David.
I nodded. There is nothing wrong with giving one of the animals as a sacred animal in this city, nor do I underestimate the power of owls.
"Come, let me show you to your room," David pleaded.
We walked again. The man entered a hallway of the four halls in the Throne Palace. David took it to the left of the first hall.
Every step I take is accompanied by the flame of a torch that shines bright enough. It looked like no one was here, like servants or palace guards.
"Is this place always this quiet?" I asked. David chuckled lightly at my question.
"We are having an event at the Cathedral; everyone is there to enjoy the procession," David replied.
He was seen stopping his feet in front of a wooden door with an abstract carved. His right hand began to grip the doorknob and opened it for me.
"This will be your place," David explained. I nodded and quickly went into my new room.
This place was far more spacious than Eve's house in Stockhelm or even the prison at Merchant Toghon. An iron lattice window directly points towards the outside of the palace, to be precise, the view of the city landscape behind the palace.
"Thanks a lot for your help," I said, bowing my head to David.
"No problem. I'm just following orders from My Lady," said David, closing the bedroom door and leaving me alone in this place.
I put my two spears near the wardrobe. The difference between the two was clear to my eyes, especially in the primary material for making the weapon.
Honestly, I like the spear that supposedly belongs to Lord Armine. It was light and had a comfortable grip. The decorations on the spear shafts were impressive; the gold ornaments coiled and formed a balanced pattern.
Since I'm already in a safe place, maybe I should just try what my fourth skill looks like. Immediately I opened my status information with a snap of my fingers.
[Earth Rage!]
What surprised me was the icon displayed on skill four, shaped like someone who jumped and made an impact on the ground when landing. I couldn't do it, not to try it in this room.
"Perhaps I should go to the field to train."
