"Are you one of the elders?" I asked, curious.
Unlike the people around me, they still lowered their heads, looking like they didn't dare to raise their heads when I talked to the woman. Despite her position as an elder, her face and appearance showed no aging on her body.
"That's right, and if you already know about it, you better lower your head and respect it!" one of the woman's guards groaned, snapping at me in a high-pitched voice.
"It depends," I said simply.
They immediately focused their eyes on me; one of them was the old lady. Some of the men I saw looked back at me angrily, and some women began to turn their eyes to look back at me.
"Depends on what?" one of the bodyguards asked.
"The answer he gave me to the question I asked," I replied.
"Please. Ask me any questions that may still be on your mind," the woman said, holding her left hand before me to let me speak.
