"Your room… Ahem" Drake cleared his throat and continued. "It's this way, come with me."
Drake led Alessia to the guest room which had not been used in a while. He opened the door, switched on the lights and removed a bed cover from the wardrobe by his right. He stretched the bed sheet and Alessia eagerly joined him to spread it on the bed.
"Make yourself at home" Drake said as he played with his fingers unintentionally.
"I'd rather not. Goodnight Drake. Sweet dreams" Alessia said to Drake as he was about to leave.
"Goodnight Alessia" Drake replied in a sweet voice as he left the room. He stepped out and his smile was wide as his brain bubbled in thoughts of what a perfect day this was. Maybe not perfect, but the best he'd had in as long as ever. He headed downstairs to carry the box to his room and he shut his door behind him.
He knew he should be happy, but he wasn't. He was more concerned about the contents of the book and how on Earth he was able to read Greek and whatever other language he read. The urge to reopen the box was fierce and he found himself resisting its every breath. After minutes of a futile quest while getting around his head, he gave up, sighed deeply and fell on his bed with his back.
It was Saturday morning and Drake was awake early as he always was when Suzanne was around. He brushed his teeth quickly and headed downstairs without making much noise as he didn't want to disturb Alessia who was probably sleeping. He went to the dining table and cleaned all of the mess they made last night. When he was almost done with the cleaning, he put on his headphones and synced with his phone and put "Alan Walker's Ignite" on repeat. He wasn't much of a dancer, so he just nodded his head and changed faces occasionally.
He was enjoying himself, or at least the company of the music as he handled the dishes rhythmically. Alessia was awake and came downstairs unaware of Drake's presence. Did she think she was early? Her hair was all down to the back of her head, quite rough as she yawned loudly as she stretched her both hands and looked ahead and saw Drake having fun with the dishes.
She stood there, with a smile now onto her newly awoken face as he kept doing his thing unaware of her presence. She walked up to his back, hoping to get him to look behind, but she failed. Disappointed, she removed his headphone and put it on her head as she moved closer to him.
Drake was lost, frozen and all his nerves were on a recess as he looked at her face. She was gorgeous and all of his body agreed with him. He smiled at her as she kept making silly faces as she raised her hands to the music she was listening to.
After about a minute of Drake's view and her dancing, she removed the headphone from her head and smiled widely at Drake.
"That was a really amazing one!" She said as he chuckled lightly.
"Yeah. Alan Walker is a genius." Drake replied with a warm smile.
"Oh! Not him. You, your dance.. You were amazing" Alessia said as she sunk into his irresistible eyes.
"Me?" Drake said as he was processing this compliment or whatever this was. "You were amazing too" Drake said slowly as he looked at her hair which was slightly rough.
"So, what are we doing today?" Alessia asked ecstatically.
"I was thinking of some movies before we get back to our project." Drake answered with a bit of noticeable uncertainty in his voice.
"Sure. I love that. I'm in" Alessia said as she walked a few steps back.
They had spent about 3 hours watching Netflix and it was already exhausting for Drake who forced his eyes to stay glued to it as he saw focus in Alessia's eyes as she watched every scene. Drake wanted to talk to her but he didn't know how or when.
"Are you loving the movie?" Drake said slowly, almost stammering.
"Yeah" Alessia said without looking at Drake as she seemed engrossed in the movie.
Drake was not really happy and he didn't know what to say, so he just stayed mute and tried to enjoy the movie.
"I'm sorry" Alessia said as she looked at Drake whose face wasn't much of a happy one.
"For what?" Drake was puzzled.
"For this torture I'm imposing on you" Alessia said slowly
"No. Don't say that" Drake replied with care in his every syllable.
"You know, I can't remember the last time I ever really watched a whole movie with someone. The last time I remember doing that was with my dad and…" Alessia stopped as she didn't want to burden him with more of her sadness.
"It's okay. Whenever you want to do this, I will always be here. I promise" Drake said assuredly without an iota of doubt or overthinking.
