Taehyung woke up late the next day. He was supposed to be at the preschool by 9 AM; however, he woke up at 7:30 AM. For someone who lives 30 minutes away from his workplace, that would've been enough time. Not for Taehyung though. His morning routine would usually take him an hour and he drives slowly as he just learned how to drive a couple of weeks back. That's why he would normally wake up at 6:30 AM. Well, he was running late today.
He took a quick shower and grabbed the first pair of jeans and dress shirt he could find in his wardrobe closet. He blow-dried his hair, put on a little make-up, and grabbed his bag and some school materials.
As he walks out his room, he grabbed his phone and dialed Min-ho's number.
"Min-ho, can you drive me to work today?"
"Sorry Taetae, I'm already at work as I have an early meeting."
"Ugh! I woke up late and I don't want to drive."
"Well, you don't have any choice. If you leave now you can still make it on time."
"But that means I have to drive fast." Taehyung whines.
"You can do it, Taetae! I believe in you." Taehyung hears a chuckle from Min-ho.
"I hate you."
"But, I love you. Taetae, gotta go. Fighting!" By the time Taehyung ends the call, he's already in the kitchen preparing himself a simple cheese sandwich. He puts the sandwich in his bag and runs to the garage.
As he approaches his car, he suddenly realized that he didn't have his car keys.
Shit. My keys are with Kookie.
Just then, he hears his car engine start. So, he walks closer to his car and saw the passenger window going down.

"Hi. Good morning!" Jungkook said.
"What are you doing?" A stunned Taehyung said.
"Driving you to work."
"Why?"
"Because you said you didn't want to drive."
"But — "
"Come on, hop in. You'll be late." Jungkook insisted.
Taehyung was acting like he wanted to refuse, but deep down inside he was screaming, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. He opened the passenger door and entered the car.
"Buckle up." Jungkook said and added, "Do you have your work address on the GPS?"
Taehyung nodded as he sets the GPS. Jungkook, on the other hand, was connecting his phone to the car's bluetooth. Before driving out, Jungkoook chose a BTS playlist and off they went.
The first five minutes of the ride was silent. Taehyung was focused on the music.
"Is this your album?" Taehyung asked.
"Yes."
"What's this song called?"
"Magic Shop."
"It's beautiful. Who wrote it?"
"I did."
"So, not only do you sing, you write your songs too. You don't fail to surprise me, Mr. Jeon."
"I can say the same thing about you."
"And, what is it about me that you found surprising?"
"Your existence."
Taehyung giggled. "Are you always this cheesy?"
"Honestly speaking, I never was. I think it's a Teahyung effect."
"Whatever. I bet you've been using those lines in all your past relationships."
"I never had to."
"Wow. Could you be any more conceited?"
"What?! No. I meant, I never had to because I never had a relationship."
"Really? Never had a boyfriend or girlfriend?"
"Nope."
"By choice?"
"Well, I never really had the time for it, and I wasn't in a rush either. There were some girls and boys that I got attracted to, but not to the point of pursuing them. What about you?"
"NBSB."
"What?"
"No boyfriend since birth."
Jungkook laughed on the acronym. "By choice?"
"Well, not really. I wanted to have one. I always wondered how it would feel being in love with someone and being loved. I wanted to have the same kind of relationship my parents have. Plus, for the longest time I have been a third wheel to Min-ho and his girlfriend, and I've been wanting that to end, because they're just getting too much to handle."
"So, what happened?"
"Nothing. My mom and Min-ho have been setting me up on dates but it just didn't work. There was no chemistry. There came a point that I told them to stop, because I was getting jaded already."
Jungkoook's blood boiled just with the thought of Taehyung dating someone else. His grip on the steering wheel tightened and he unconsciously pokes his tongue on his inner cheek. Taehyung noticed.
"What's with that expression?"
"Which one?" Jungkook asked in a rather serious tone.
"Your tongue on cheek thing. It's the second time I see you do that."
"Force of habit, I guess."
"What triggers it?"
You. And the thought of you being with someone else. Jungkook wanted to say that.
You have reached your destination.
Whew. Saved by the GPS.
"Wow. That was fast." Taehyung said, forgetting about the hanging question.
"What time should I pick you up?"
"It's ok, Kookie you don't have to pick me up. I can ask Min-ho to pass by for me."
"No!" Jungkook snapped. Taehyung flinched. "Sorry. I-I mean, no, it's okay. I really want to pick you up."
"O-okay. My classes ends in six hours."
"I'll be here by then."
"Okay." Taehyung flashed Jungkook his boxy smile.
Taehyung was about to go down the car when he remembered something.
"Hey, I don't have your number yet. Can you save it for me so I can call you just in case my class ends early?"
"Sure." Taehyung handed Jungkook his phone. After punching in his number, he dialed it to get Taehyung's number.
"I'll see you later then." Taehyung said.
Taehyung gets down from the car and walks towards the building. Jungkook keeps his eye on Taehyung.
Look back. Look back. Please look back.
As if they had their minds linked, Taehyung looks back at Jungkook and waves.
Jungkook waves back and melted on the spot.

Jungkoook just arrived at the house and finds his hyungs having breakfast.
"Hey, Kook! Where have you been?" Jimin asked.
"I drove Taehyung to work."
"Oooooooh, boyfriend duty." Jimin teased.
"Shut up, Chim." Jungkook said while blushing.
"You are so whipped." Yoongi said.
"So, I'm guessing the Min-ho thing has been cleared up right?" Jin asked.
"Yes, apparently they're best friends and Min-ho has a girlfriend." Jungkook explains.
"Yup, they've been together for 8 years." Hobi said.
"Wait. You knew?!?" Jungkook was surprised.
"Yes, Taehyung told us last night."
"And you didn't tell me? I suffered the entire night."
"Hey, you walked out last night and when you came back you went straight to your room. We had no chance to tell you." Jin said.
"And, you weren't suffering the entire night. We all know about your 2 AM hot chocolate date with Taehyung." RM smirked.
"How did you know about that too?"
"We have our ways, Kook." Jin said.
Jungkook pouted.
"Oh, stop pouting and just eat breakfast."
"Yes, Eomma," Jungkook said. Jin playfully smacked the back of Jungkook's head.
Just then, the doorbell rings. Jungkook stood up and opened the door. He was greeted by an elegant woman in her 50s, carrying a brown bag full of groceries.
"Well, hello there, Jeon Jungkook."
Jungkook raised his eyebrows for a second and then not forgetting his manners, bowed politely and greeted the woman. "Good morning, maam."
"No need to be formal, Jungkook. You can call me Hee-ae. I'm Taehyung's mother."
"Oh, I'm sorry. Let me help you with that." Jungkook took the grocery bag from Hee-ae.
"Thank you, my dear."
Jungkook led her to the dining area where the others are. The boys all stood up as they see Hee-ae approaching.
"Guys, this is Mrs. Kim, Tae's mom." Everyone greeted her with a bow.
Meanwhile, Hee-ae didn't miss how Jungkook nicknamed her son.
"Tae? I see you're already close to my son." She said with an amused tone.
Jungkook mentally facepalmed and blushed. He didn't know what to say.
"Don't worry. The mere fact that Taehyung allowed you to call him Tae is a good sign for me already." She winked at Jungkook.
Jungkook relaxed a bit and smiled at Hee-ae. The five other boys went forward.
"Hello, Mrs. Kim, I'm Namjoon."
"I'm Jimin."
"Yoongi, Mrs. Kim."
"I'm Hobi."
"And, I'm Jin."
"Hello, boys. It's such a pleasure meeting all of you. You're all Sejiin could talk about that I feel like I know each and everyone of you."
"Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home, Mrs. Kim." Jin said.
"Please call me Hee-ae. I feel so old when you call me, Mrs. Kim. I came here to bring you more meat just in case you'd want to have a samgyeupsal party. I had a gas grill set up by the pool side before you arrived."
"Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness, Hee-ae. I hope it wasn't too much of a burden for you." Jimin said.
"Not at all. I love having guests. That's the main purpose why we built this guest house. And, it would be a shame not to put it to good use.
By the way, is Taehyung here? He supposed to be at work, but I saw his car outside." Hee-ae asked.
"Oh, yes. He's at work. I brought him there this morning and I'm picking him up later." Jungkook explained.
"Well, aren't you a gentleman. Since you're picking up, Taehyung, please tell him to go straight to our house after so that we can all have dinner there.
Boys, I will ask Min-ho to come and get you later. I also invited the Choi's to join us for dinner. Perhaps one of you can drive the other car and convoy with him to our house?"
"Sure, Hee-ae. We can do that. Thank you for the invitation." Yoongi said.
"I'll get going now. If you need anything, just tell Taehyung. Don't hesitate."
The boys all bowed and greeted her goodbye.
"You're so lucky Kook. Your future mother-in-law is so nice." Jimin teased.
"Chim, I said stop it."
"What?! It's true and it seems that you have her blessing." Jimin added.
"We're not even together."
"Yet." Hobi emphasized.
"I bet they'd be together in two weeks." RM said.
"Make it one week." Suga said.
"I'd say, three days." Jin confidently said.
"I'm betting after one day, considering that they've seen each other half naked already." Jimin said.
"JIMIN!!!!" (Jungkook) / "WHAT?!?!" (The 5 others)
Jimin ran away knowing what's going to happen next. Jungkook ran after him grabbing a throw pillow from the living room.
"Aish, these two, 5-Year olds are at it again." Yoongi said.
"But, I have to say, Jungkook's all grown-up now. I just hope that he'll be ready to make some grown-up decisions when the time comes." Jin said.
"What do you mean?" Hobi asked.
"Well, we're just here for vacation. After this, we all have to go back. He has to go back being BTS. What's going to happen between him and Taehyung?" Jin said.
"We will all cross the bridge when we get there. In the meantime, let's all just enjoy." Yoongi said.
"Whatever decision Jungkook makes we will all support him, okay? He's more than just a BTS member for us. We're his hyungs after all." RM said.
Yoongi, Jin and Hobi nodded while looking at Jungkook.
