Chapter 96 - Chapter 96 - Killing Luna

A/N: Been writing a new novel, hence why this took so damn long. New Novel's called 'The Villainess' Knight.' Couple chaps are out, have some more written but need some touch ups before they're post worthy.

Valier POV:

I opened my eyes, I wasn't totally sure as to what was going on but the situation was bad. I could feel that most of stomach was missing, but at the very least I was alive. I took a moment to assess the situation, Alexander Ashford had fallen at my hands. So had Leon and Artorius, however, I was injured badly. However, I had quite literally just learnt how to control my heart rate, so at the very least I could keep blood pumping through my body a bit longer.

'Since I've gone this far, and since I've already shown my ability to copy, I suppose I can start putting some more effort.'

Then, I took a deep breath, trying my best to limit my blood loss via the contractions of muscles. And slowly but surely, I got up. My sight was totally fucked, I could barely see. But fortunately, I didn't need to see to fight against these guys.

I walked over to Artorius's body, and picked up his sword.

Luna Valkyr looked at me, incapable of comprehending the situation before.

"What, scared?"

She raised and eyebrow before regaining her composure impressively fast.

She smirked as she took a few cautions steps back, too scared to make any sudden movements but also aware that if she were too close to me, she'd die.

"Not really, just confused. But honestly, are you serious? Even that teacher can't kill you, are you immortal?"

I walked over to her at an infuriatingly slow pace, I didn't want to waste too much energy unless I could guarantee Luna's death. She was the reason I was in this state in the first place, if I hadn't been poisoned, there's no way I would've lost to Alexander.

'No, that's a lie. Even at my best, without Mana I wouldn't have been able to handle that move. But honestly, increasing your heart rate forcibly to increase your blood flow. Why didn't I think of that'

"Immortal? I wish. I can't even use Healing Magic. But you shouldn't be worrying about that-"

Then, some random guy ran at me, and tried stabbing me. I gauged his distance using the sound the sound of his footsteps, and when he was close enough, I beheaded him.

Turning around, I faced the group of bottom feeders behind me.

"You lot are weirdly stupid. If you get too close, I'll slaughter you."

Currently, my only goal was killing Luna. I would have to worry about what to do next after she died, so long as she was alive, I couldn't guarantee that I wouldn't fall to another one of her plans.

I couldn't be too overconfident, after all, my overconfidence is why I ended up revealing so much of my strength. But honestly, thank goodness that I can't use Mana here. If I was in that unconscious state of mine while having access to Mana, I probably would've revealed the full extent of my strength.

"Valier, you really live up to your name. I'm not sure if you know this, but your name means 'To be strong.' Or, 'to be healthy.' In a physical sense, and I'm sure you're aware of this, but in this place you're an absolute being. Even while you were suffering from the effects of my poison, you were able to fight at a level where you could overpower the Elven Princess who's prowess with the bow is revered throughout the continent instantly. And not only that, but you fought Leon and Artorius in close combat with her supporting them. Truly, you're nothing short of excellent."

I looked at her, something was up. She was talking too much. Was she going insane? Was she that scared? No. She was waiting for me to succumb to my injuries. Not a bad tactic, after all, if it were anyone else a bit of time would be all that it would take for them to die. But, I'm me. I don't die.

"Shut up. All you do is talk, if you want me to die then try to fucking kill me yourself. And stop relying on trash like them."

I said, gesturing towards the people behind me.

"If you want something, you take it. If you want someone dead, you kill them. If you hate something, get rid of it. You have potential, don't waste it."

Talent. She had it. The power of two bloodlines had converged in her, she was a Valkyrie and a Vampire. With the blood of two such beings, how could she allow herself to rely on trash. Well, relying on Leon and Artorius was fair, the same goes for that Elf. They were excellent, even if I didn't like Artorius's fighting style I had to admit his excellence.

But, did she think leading sheep like the others would allow her to accomplish anything? I wanted to make her someone that I could use, but at this rate, her actions would end up dulling her to a point where I could no longer sharpen her into a blade worth using.

I approached her, although I wanted to make use of her, it wasn't like I could just forget about this. So, I'd kill her and at the very least make us even.

But, to my surprise, she approached me at the same time. I could feel my bones cracking from the burden of walking, without most of my torso to help carry myself, it seemed like my body was crumbling under its own weight.

Once she was in range, I swung my sword at her but, she predicted it's trajectory and managed to deflect my blow with a short sword she had been carrying with her. Although she had managed to deflect my blow, and although my strength was greatly diminished her sword had been chipped by my blow.

'I'm impressed. Even if I am missing most of my torso along with most of my strength, I still didn't think she'd actually try to fight back.'

"Not bad, but next time, do better."

I said, thrusting my sword into her stomach. She was physically incapable of reacting fast enough to block my attack, in the first attack she had calculated the trajectory of my blow. But this time, she wasn't fast enough with her calculations.

"Die."
