When he reappeared in a forest, for a moment he almost thought it was the same forest of his realm, but he sensed something different the moment he took a breath of air. Sure it was fresh and clean too, but he could tell the difference just as quickly.
There was magic in the air, not mana, but magic. His realm had mana, it was almost the same however mana is the life essence that can be used to make magic.
While magic is a concept that can bend reality to various degrees, from what he had learned from his library.
He mused gently, seeing the foliage around him with trees blocking some of the light from the sun, the birds and animals in the area however had gone silent. As if they could feel a being that was way above them in every way, so they instinctively hid.
Dominic noticed this, so he used his sense to scope the area, thinking that he might have landed in a place without any fauna. He spotted a squirrel up in a tree not far from him, it was huddled tightly in its hole and trembling very much.
'Ah, so it is my draconic aura since am so used to letting it run free due to me being all to myself. So since I landed here I brought it along causing great fear to these poor creatures, I bet to them I am nothing but the apocalypse incarnated right now.' With that he reigned it in, it was simple as breathing for him.
"Hey little guy, it's okay. Am sorry for frightening you, you can come out now. I won't hurt you." He called out to the squirrel, being a dragon meant that communication with animals was not an issue.
Heck communication with anything was not a problem at all either, and his voice was almost akin to a compulsion to animals.
Hereditary being a species that is a top predator in the animal kingdom, he could command them, adding to the fact that his race was specifically were beings that stood way on the top of the omniverse, it was really a simple matter for him to draw out a little squirrel without any effort what so ever.
That and he managed to change the shape of his pupils to round ones instead of the slit ones.
And it worked as within a minute he was being stared at by a pair of large brown eyes that looked somewhat cute, yet a little frightened. However, the voice that was gentle, calm, and powerful was magnetic to the little creature.
"Ah, there you are. There, there little fella am not going to hurt you." He chuckled at how cute the squirrel looked, calming it further it creeped out closer, landing on a branch close by it sat there and looked at Dominic with its little head tilted at the side.
"Mister, how could you be that big and scary presence, when you look human?" A high-pitched feminine came out from the squirrel's little mouth.
Dominic was a little surprised at this as it sounded almost the same as the chipmunks from Alvin and the Chipmunks, well closer to the females really, the Chipets.
"Oh, I didn't really know where I was and that was something my body does to prevent anyone from trying to fight me." He answered, clearly avoiding the fact that he is a dragon. He knew that the little creature would scurry off in a split second or directly faint from shock as he wanted information.
And what she said was very interesting, about the fact that she recognized his current form as a human.
"I see; you are not human, are you? I have not seen a human that looks as beautiful and handsome as well as scary as you." The squirrel said, with what Dominic could identify as a blush on her furry cheeks.
'Well damn! To think my charms even cross-species, wait! Am a dragon, it is supposed to cross-species! But is this little thing even allowed to blush? What universe am I in to allow such a feat?' hE shook his head and released a chuckle as he stretched out his hand and gave the squirrel a little scratch on her chin as he replied.
"You're a cutie yourself too, little one. Now enough pleasantries, I appear to be slightly lost and would like to ask you to point me in the direction of where those humans you spoke about so I can leave as I am currently lost." He said as he removed his hand from her chin, much to the reluctance of the squirrel.
"Uhm, y-yeah! I will gladly help, you see that path, go straight and cross the little stream. After a couple of minutes of walking, you will soon reach a clearing, there you will see human buildings." She shook her head first to clear her head at how good the dragon in human form's touch was, then pointed her tiny claw in the direction behind her while giving directions.
"Thank you for your information and time, little lady, take care and goodbye." Dominc nodded his head slightly to the side with a smile, he waved at her as he walked past her in that direction.
Watching him leave the little squirrel gazed at his retreating back in a daze until he disappeared from her sight in the trees.
"Sigh! Such a handsome human, or whatever he was. If only I was a few years younger and not married I would have chosen to follow him and leave my life under his care. And his touch is so glorious!" She muttered as she had a blush a deep look of longing as she recalled the touch of the dragon.
"What is glorious my love?" A similarly high-pitched voice called out next to the little squirrel though this one was masculine indicating the owner was male.
Snapping out of her daze, she looked to the side and saw her husband.
"Uhm, nothing." She answered, and ran back to her hole.
"Oh." The male squirrel said as he just sat there for a moment, and felt that he had almost lost something very precious to him as he saw his wife run away as if she had seen a hawk. Speaking of hawks, he best get to somewhere less open, maybe give his darling some quality time to erase that feeling.

Back with Dominic, he had reached to clearing, and indeed in the distance he could make out houses and tall buildings, they had almost a modern air about them yet they all had different medieval designs about them.
Making them aesthetically pleasing to the eyes as the mixture of modern and medieval the town ahead of him made it a marvel to behold that he didn't recognize from his past life.
"It almost seems like France in my past life, as I can see a bunch of French chateaus or houses that look like that. I wonder what country this place might be." He wondered as he continued to walk towards the town in deep thought.
When he entered the place, he saw that it was indeed slightly modern. Almost close to when the world was entering the industrial era as he could see a bunch of vintage cars, or in this place still modern cars, passing by. Though there were carriages being driven, on a separate lane to minimize traffic accidents perhaps. Though he couldn't see any traffic signs or signals.
'Maybe they haven't been invented yet.' He mentally guessed.
After a few minutes of walking and Dominic was nowhere close to finding any information about the town, but he didn't mind and used this opportunity to just stroll about. Even if he had attracted attention from many of the residents of the place, mainly from the women.
Who would blame them, his looks and air about him even attracted a squirrel what more to say on females of the species of his current form?
Dominic just ignored them, as long as no one bothered him he was okay. He could tell the male partners of some of the women that stared at him with dreamy looks wanted to tear him apart, yet they didn't do anything.
For the men, the feelings were contradictory, one; they wanted to rip him to pieces for looking so damn handsome, but on the other hand, they didn't blame him, for he was not even flirting with their partners, just minding his own business.
Heck, he would just stare blankly as if lost in thought or at an object and the air about him makes the women swoon as his solemn expression was enchanting, nature even gave him a hand, and a gentle breeze would shake his coat and hair making it flatter magnifying his charm. Or even the rays of the mid-morning sunlight on him made him seem like a god or an angel that had descended from the heavens.
One thing was sure and that was that Dominic had instantly become the talk of the town and the deep love and crush for many women, be they young or old.
'Hmm, usually when a handsome man walks into a new place like this there is supposed to be a heroine of the story, they either bump into each other or the hero rescues her from the distress of any kind. Pfft! Funny, I speak as if I am in a novel of some sort' He mentally chuckled causing a smirk to grace his lips, making some of the women that had been following him swoon even harder at this.
Rolling his eyes at this, he was about to make a turn around a corner of a shop.
Since he was in deep thought he had lowered his sense just close to his skin, so he didn't see the moment when he bumped into someone, the person was moving at high speed.
Thud!
"Aaahh!" A pitched feminine scream rang out, Dominic's body moved on instinct and reached out to grab the person whose body had been flung away, time seemed to slow down when he reacted and he saw that this was a woman and at that moment he touched her arm, something awoke within his soul and rushed toward his entire body.
For Dominic there was a rush in his blood, making him pull her gently towards him, his arms wound around her waist one hand reached for her head. The hand on her waist started to rub her back gently the same as the one on her blond hair. An aura reached from within and covered her completely, encapsulating her completely.
There was only one thought in his mind as he held this body that seemed to have been made just for him, as he could feel the warmth and breath on his chest. He could even hear her little heart thumping like a racehorse as she almost melted in his arms with her two arms that almost hugged him back.
"It's alright, you are safe now." He whispered gently to her.
But in his mind, there was only one word that rang true.
'MINE!'
