Big. That was the first word that popped up in Toz's and the others' minds as soon as they saw Phester. And the word only grew as they closed in on the city, and they realized just how enormous the so-called city was. None of them would have been surprised if they were instead headed to an entire plane and not just a single city floating out in the Void.
But Kahglia had already informed everyone of what to expect. It was just a little more than what could be conveyed with words, so none of them was ready for the size or luster of the city.
When they were right in front of the city, they couldn't even see the sides of it.
"Goodness, that's a big city!"
