"Nightmares?" She asked, stroking his cheek.
Nicolás took in a breath before rolling over and getting off the bed.
"Nicolás?" She called.
"Go back to bed, Annalise. Please."
"It's fine, I am not sleepy. Come back."
But she was lying, he knew that. This was the excuse she usually gave and for the past few days they'd spent their nights talking, sometimes they went outside and she stared at the stars with him and identified them but not tonight, but tonight.
"Go to sleep, Annalise. I want to be alone." He said in a stern voice.
With that, he walked out of the room, quietly shutting the door behind him. He hated this, hated that his nightmares had intensified, and not only did he barely get two hours of sleep, but he also kept her awake too.
Nicolás knew she didn't mind but that was what provoked him about it more. She didn't deserve this.
