Panic clawed to her throat, squeezing her lungs. All of her drenched in fear when Alfredo's burning gaze were Ste on her. She could feel the heat from his anger and Annalise wondered what she'd ever done to deserve it, with the new knowledge that she was his niece, or surpassed her why this hate was still coming from or where it had actually stemmed from because she couldn't for the life of her figure out what she had ever due to Alfredo Caruso.
Slowly, she settled down on one of the lone couches, the one farthest from him.
"What do you want from me?" she asked, thankful her voice didn't shake with the anxiety that plagued her.
Alfredo stared at her quietly for a few seconds before erupting unto laughter. Embarrassment reddened her neck and ears as she simply sat and watched him continuing to laugh at her.
Finally, his laughter ceased. "Want from you? What do you have to offer me? You must think you are something now, don't you?"
