The doors to his room flung open and his mother marched in, a look of utter rage on her face.
"What in hell did you do that for?" She screamed.
Luca shot up from the bed, shock running through his veins.
"What?"
She approached him. "You idiot!" And her palm connected with his cheeks, the stinging pain had him gritting his teeth. It wouldn't be the first time she'd hit him but he still hadn't gotten used to the pain.
"Mother, I don't…"
She cut him off. "Did you think I wouldn't find out? What in hell did you do that for? Are you out of your mind?"
His confusion was obvious and at the same time sweat formed on the side of his face, he was hoping it wasn't what he feared.

"You thought I wouldn't know you'd been behind that lousy murder attempt? If you have an issue with Nicolás, like a man, you face Nicolás!" She enunciated the last word with one of her fingers poking at his chest, he staggered backward.
