Annalise's wide eyes moved from Don Roberto confusedly to Mrs. Moreno.
"I…" she stuttered. "I don't understand."
Leonardo answered immediately. "What don't you understand, Annalise? He assaulted the wrong person and now he's suffering the repercussions of it."
There must have been a reason. Her mind screamed at her, something must have happened for Nicolás to do it. She wouldn't say she knew how he behaved with others but she was certain that he wasn't that careless to attack someone as important as Sir Amante.
Annalise had seen him, had seen the respect he commanded. He was Savio's father, it made no sense to her why Nicolás would assault him damning the repercussions of his actions.
"What is going to happen now?" she asked in a scared tone.
Mrs. Moreno placed her hand on Annalise's. "We are trying our best to get him out of this…"
