His eyes moved from Annalise's wide eyes to the hand that was gripping her arms and if looks could burn, he would've scalded the man's skin, right before cutting off the hand that had the audacity.
Slowly, Nicolás's eyes shifted to the man's face, taking him in, seeing the audacious fool with enough guts to lay his hand on her and it didn't help that the man was conventionally good-looking. His eyes were on Nicolás too and so he walked toward where they stood with easy strides and just as he reached them, Annalise pulled away from his hold.
Smart woman.
"Black," Nadia called, stepping in between him and the man.
This one, not so much.
"Listen, please," Nadia pleaded. "It's all my fault, be mad at me instead."
"Step away, Nadia," he said through gritted teeth.
She sent a worried look the man's way. "Savio has nothing to do with this, we were all just talking, really."
