"You're leaving?" She asked, her voice laced with disbelief as he walked out of the room. She hurried after him.
"What has come over you? You can't just leave. Is it me?" This time there was a hint of desperation in her voice. "Did I do something wrong? Tell me, and I'll make it up. Please."
He stopped and turned to her, his eyes running down her body. She stared back at him with fear in her eyes, he could see it clearly, the child behind them, the unloved one she had been before his mother took her in, the one she still was and he feared she was forever going to be because Isabella wasn't someone who allowed herself to be weak in front of anybody else, only he knew the real her and if he was being honest, he didn't care.
Did that make him a disgusting asshole? He didn't care either.
"It has nothing to do with you, Isabella, and for God's sake go put some clothes on."
