Annalise tried to steady her heart while praying her fear doesn't somehow reflect on her demeanor but it was - she was trembling.
"I'll take you up to his office," The man stationed by the lobby said to her. "Don Roberto has been expecting you."
She nodded and let him lead the way, following behind demurely. Don Roberto had called her last night and had requested she come to his office the next morning so they could discuss her father.
He had been released and Annalise was planning to stop by and visit him when she leaves Don Roberto's office. She was skeptical about the man's intention, she knew firsthand what he was capable of and her head was still yet to wrap around what it was he might want from her.
